Hey all
I too am a newbie to home of poi (I guess that is obvious, as I am posting this in introductions....)
Livin' in Dunedin, NZ, aka the town with the most miserable weather on earth.....
Have been doing staff for ~5 months, poi for about 1, trying to learn more and not burn myself too much! Also getting pretty well involved with our local university-affiliated (good for liability insurance!) fire club.
Have discovered that spinning fire has SERIOUS impacts on study levels......
Oh yeah, into punk music

Hrrrmmmm my favourite frog would probably be the whistling tree frog - an odd name as it doesn't whistle...it is not very exciting to look at, kinda brown - although I am sure I could tart it up with a can of pink spraypaint!
I have been known to ribbit on occasions whilst out in the field, although I am more commonly renowned for my bearded yeti call, more of a "Mwoooooooaaaar"
or on occasions a kung-fu pirate stule "Heeee-yar!"

Kissing a frog? Sorry to say it guys - but you don't get warts, lose your lips or turn into a princess...you just get cold, wet slimy lips and a strange empty feeling...unless it is one of those crazy central american trippin' frogs, then ANYthing can happen (and usually does)

Oi man, don't slam dunners! I come from Balclutha (I know, shamed out), and lived in Dunedin for about 4 years. Now in London but the real point is I was describing to someone about the view of the harbour you get from the hill near NEV cemetary (one at the top of the gardens) and she turned around to me and said, wow that sounds amazing, and I remembered that it is!
ANyway, welcome dude. How old are you? We probably know some of the same people if you are about my age (23)
I said perhaps, and thats FINAL.

Hey don't get me wrong - I love dunedin...the view from the cemetary IS rad, as are nights in the cave at Long Beach or at my girlfriend's whare out past Portobello...and the hills in the mist are something else
But the weather! Ah man! Maybe i am just prejudiced after a childhood in Nelson..........
Anyways I am 22, so it is more than possible we know some dudes in common, you know any of the Uni Fire CLubbers (eg Jeff, Greg, Chris, SHelley, Dan)?
