So I've been around for a spell and have decided to start a thread of my very own. So...by way of (re)introduction, I'll offer up this: a rare interview with your very own bubblishis. ubbangel

Hello Ms. bubblishis. Welcome to HOP
Thanks. It's great to be here.

What turned you on to poi?
My brother started doing it. And he's pretty cool so I started doing it. I also have a sister - who is equally cool but not into fire stuff.

Where did he pick it up?
Yo this is about me not him. Check it.

Of course it is. So do most people call you bubblishis?
No most people call me Erin. Since that's my name. A few call me McReynolds - that being my last name.

Why "bubblishis" anyway?
It's actually the name of my zine. "Zine" is short for magazine and is like a newsletter. Many zines are politically oriented but mine is just about me. "bubblishis" comes from the gum - bubblicious. I changed the spelling because one of my friends thought I'd get sued.

Interesting. What do you do for a living?
I'm a makeup artist. I also have a day job but I much prefer to talk about makeup.

Let's talk about makeup then. Any products you can recommend to this group?
Are you kidding? Let's see....Kryolan has a line called Aquacolor which is great for performing. It's breathable and wears well, even with sweat and whatnot. Wet the brush (or the cake itself) before applying. It comes in all kinds of colors including metalics and day glow!

Very cool. You know, there's a lot of talk about piercings on this site.
Yes I noticed that too. I have my tongue pierced but am thinking seriously about taking it out. I'm coming up on 5 years - enough is enough.

Sure. Any other hobbies besides poi?
Well I do a lot of yoga and meditation. These are more a way of life than hobbies. I've started flag dancing and recently took a welding class. I'm also learning to speak Spanish.

El espanol?
It's a lot of work but my teacher is undeniably attractive and I find that motivating.

I'll bet you do. Tell us something about yourself that most people don't know.
He has the most beautiful hands and sometimes when he's talking I can't....

Honey we've moved on from that.
Oh. Right. Uh...well....I can do the rumba, cha cha, samba, jive, paso doble, mambo, bolero (just a little), hustle, salsa, merengue and swing - east coast and west coast.

That's quite a list.
I guess dancing is one of my hobbies too. Specifically latin. I'm really into latin culture in general. Hence the Spanish.
