Posted:Doing some searching recently, I have come up with a few additional battery operated toys for us swingers..use your imagination.I realize that these are all from the same website that you you could just browse through, but I figured I'd list the cool ones for the lazy people like myself out there...http://xstatikgear.com/partysticks.htmlooks vaguely similar to bladespinners.http://xstatikgear.com/blackblinklight.htmA strobing blacklight!http://xstatikgear.com/3dpartylaser.htmThis is a lase..says you could put it around your neck, so there is a loop on it to attach a string. This particular one creates 3d designs when you move it.http://xstatikgear.com/lumchucks.htmElectric Glowchucks!http://xstatikgear.com/laserbaton.htmAnother light/laser baton thing..would be interested in comparing these to the stik ones..http://xstatikgear.com/laserrod.htmThis looks pretty phat, but it probably is very fragile.A little more extreme.. *grin* take two of these wrap them in bubble wrap, and swing two of these.http://xstatikgear.com/minidiscolaser.htmAnd last but not least..the LASER GLOVE. Prolly would look cool to wear for those of you that spin in clubs and/or dark enviroments..http://xstatikgear.com/lightglove.htmThis site has a lot of phat party stuff I've yet to see anywhere else. Hope I sparked someone's interested and we get some reviews on these products.------------------ [PLUR]-=Crazy Raver Dude=-

Posted:If you do a search for krill you will find that it has been discussed in great detail in other threads. But to sum it up for you, they are neat, but fragile and contain electronics that break easily.PLURCRD

. Someone needs to get together a fundraiser for new party ideas, so we can all chip in a couple of bucks and figure out which ones work.

Posted:I don't own any of these, but it's an idea. Found them at firebox.com: Ultra LED Krill Lamp. 6 different colours. 25 each, but takes AA batteries so unlike some other alternatives won't cost a bomb every 8 hours of use!Probably heavy and hard but if you put a couple of foam strips around them maybe that'd help.

Posted:I really like my sauce lights. Yeah the battery cover breaks off... you should just wrap them in tape when you take them out of the box... but otherwise they are perfect and pretty durable. The fact that you can make them do different things is awesome, lately I've just been keeping them on a set color of my choice but do like the fact that I can have them change/strobe/alternate etc. They wrap well. They are between wick and glowstick in weight. And best of all, the run on a single AA battery which I have yet to need to replace...Yeah, they hurt when you hit yourself but not of beaming poi scale. Yeah, I'm sure if you hit them together enough times they'll break. Yeah, they are $30 a pair from toysrus.com but I love em... And I just used em perfectly at a party last night where I dressed up as a flight deck guy with the light up batons to wave in airplanes.

Posted:If you're into electronics and a bit of hacking, you can put together one of those "light gloves" using a some ingenuity. I had a friend do it and the results were quite nice. He used a batting glove, some 1in diameter pvc piping which housed the small bulbs.Wiring from the blubs went into a battery pack that would be turned on or off using a smitch. He is still working on the types of lights used and battery pack weight. I'm trying to get him on super-bright white LEDs with rechargeable batteries..Another cool non-fire toy that I have actually had fun with are ribbon sticks- the kind you would see gymnasts using in rhythmic competition. I make them out of various kinds of ribbons, sticks, etc, and have even purchased some in the past, too. They're fun for the big kids and little kids.chaos
