This Tuesday April 15 Poi practis will be at trinitybellwoods park, queen st. west of Bathurst. 8:30pm-->

IF we should return to indoor TUESDAYs at any time seeing as the weather is so freaky, it's held in the Gillbraith building (u ofT) just a bit north from Collage on St.George street, east side. THIS FRIDAY NOVEMBER 8th, 2002 join us to celebrate our last outdoor event
of the Autumn season at E.T. Seaton park
Directions By Car, Motorcycle, RV, Tractor/Trailer, Horse and Buggy:
Eglinton and Leslie, go NORTH on leslie, make your first LEFT into E.T.
Seaton park(otherwise known as Sunnybrook Park). Keep turning LEFT at every
fork or bend, you'll drive under a bridge and end up in the parking lot.
Seek the green bandana'd Freetekno agent.
Directions by TTC:
Take the 34 Eglinton to Leslie (Or the 54 Lawrence West to Leslie and
Eglinton). There is a set of stairs on the SOUTH side of Eglinton that leads
to a parking lot which you should go down. In the parking lot there will be
a FreeteknoToronto agent with a green bandana to give you further
directions.
Remember:
-Be thoughtful
-Dress in lots of layers, as even though we will be providing heat it is
November and may get chilly (Bring an extra pair of socks)
-We will have water available at a very very reasonable price
-The map point (in the parking lot of the park) will open at 10:30pm and
will close at 1:00am (after that, you're on your own people! So, make sure
to be at the map point between those times)
-Donations are greatly appreciated

Last November, Mr Scruff aka Andy Carthy made it to Fez Batik and
dropped
some magical tunes that got everyone dancin. He played long and
hard....soul, funk, hiphop, beats, treats, orchestral numbers and
masterpieces of his own doing. All with the skill epitomized by
someone
who
has been trained in the stealthy martial arts of the Ninja. It was
unbelievable.
The good news? He's back
again....on November 15th!

Toronto's vibrant rave underground shows the many facets of today's global electronic music scene. Resistor and Smerk, two well known and long-standing names in this community, have joined forces to bring you multiple live shows exposing these facets in a very special all ages (16+) event, all within one downtown venue. Queen West's venerable Big Bop building will be transformed into three main areas devoted to Psychedelic/Goa Trance featuring Israel's Analog Pussy, Drum 'n' Bass/Jungle with Germany's Panacea, and a special chill area featuring local electronic musicians Infindebula, Rhythm Logic, and Rare Zoo Babies. Join us on January 25th, 2002 for FUZION, where we will foster vibe and community in a special gathering of sub-cultures. With us will be TRIP, Spundar.ca's Fun Zone, Poi Spinners, and drumming circles, and we will give away free fruit and candy, copies of Mushroom Magazine, and CD's.

hey guys, it's dave here of Promise. remember we did the outdoor cherry beach parties all summer? I wanted to mention this party, i think it will appeal to you. There is tonnes of room and ceiling height to play around in the space, and all other aspects of the night have been worked on really hard.
There will be a Capoeira group coming in to do a demonstration early on in the night. Capoeira is a brazilian martial art/dance that's really interesting to watch. Really physical and movement oriented. I went to a couple of classes and I thought I sucked at it, but I really liked watching the people who didn't. I think you will too. And as you can imagine, if there's room enough for them to play, there's certainly enough room for you to as well. We'd love you to be a part of our party.

friday march 21- promise 3 year warehouse party at The Prop House
You are invited to our 3rd year anniversary.
The event is being held in a big warehouse where they store movie props. There are three rooms - two fully active studio-type rooms with soundsystems, and a big open area in between filled with couches, movie props, film loops, a bar and performances.
So you can dance your heart out in either the house/techno room or the drum and bass room, or you can wander around, chill out and explore in the big lounge area. The place itself reminds us of Detroit and it's powerful warehouse parties - everyone who visits this space likes it a lot.
We feel so good about the lineup as well - a rare dj set by Abacus, a surprise return visit of KF of the dukes, a live tech-house p.a. that makes you want to dance, and our first full drum and bass room and a lot more.
See you there on the first day of spring.

This Saturday (19th) is the anti war party in Trinity Bellwoods, Should be an EXCELLENT chance to spin to loud music in the outdoors.
