hey, i only just started learning poi but i'm already relly good at it... but... i can't get the behind the back waeve or the windmill!!
any tips are usefull!!

i hate tobe the one to say this but the btb weave has been dicussed alot resently and in the past, so plz use the search fucntion, btb weave or behind the back, will bring you so many threads i think you would pass out.
i can see some ppl will take this opertunity to tell me to take my own advice, well save time and dont post, coz i know.

already really good eh, after only just starting to learn ? way to go making ppl jealous/annoyed by bragging

learn one arm at a time, do btb butterflys to get used to having your arms back and use somthing heavier then glowsticks until you get it down. with all the posts on this board thats about all anyone can tell you.

I had the same problem.
When you consistently hit yourself at the same place, your timing may be off. Make sure your fingers point in the direction you want your poi to go and try to make sure you poi don't cross-over when they are at the peak or bottom of their trajectory.

gah nearly got it already eh
took me ages to nearly get it.
and then more ages to actually get it.
but i'm not one of those ppl who do it for hours and hours until they've learnt a new trick - i'll pick them up for 10-15 mins (or less) and have a go at whatever i'm trying to learn, then get fed up and it'll be a day or two before i have another go - that way i'm learning stuff really really slowly

i've read the safty stuff and it dosent tell me how to light them, i know the right clothes to were i've got some natural fiba stuff that my friend used when she showed my fire poi, i know all the stuff about socking it in fule and spinning it the one thing is that i don't know if you use a flame of a lighted tourch

personally i use a lighter. or a candle.
i've never had any problems using a lighter (except for when its a bit windy)

it is a good "ideaer" to use some benzin to warm up poi. To making a "behind the back your hands mast make pain for U if they dont U make not good

Damn, it says he had to shut down zippotricks.com for legal reasons! what a pisser! Just cuz mommy's and daddy's don't know how to raise their kid's, this guy gets shut down because HE's the one liable for kids playing with fire!! they might as well shut down HOP!

But yeah, the BTB Weave has been confusing me for months now...
And as far as lighting up goes, just be sure you have a safety person, and wet towel, a fire extinguisher, or bucket of water or something, and make sure you're clear of anything you could damage with your poi.

even using 2 zippo lighters will not look so good as a normal poi with flame.Zippo dancers....Write if somo one make a btb with zipoo
