Note: this process must be performed twice (in order to make a pair of poi) or you'll just look like some fool, in a park with a squirrel hanging from a peice of string....

That's great! I can't walk 5 feet on my campus without tripping over a squirrel... Wonder what sort of crowd I could draw with squirrel poi. It definitely looks easier than cat juggling!

I love it!

it's funny, because the other day my dad was telling me that they used to say a room was spacious by saying there was "enough room to swing a cat".
Why stop at squirrels?

oooh being strange is so much more fun than normal.

JinX : If it doesnt kill you it makes you stronger

The spin cycle on the washing machine does not make earth worms dizzy.
It will however make cats dizzy and cats throw up twice their bodyweight when dizzy.

mabie is we set it up like a little take out dinner for the early 80's only smaller
we could then get all kinds of little fuzzy critters to come in late at night
but when they request a counter seat
thats when we'll get them
right after their meals before they pay
we'll pull the lever
and wamp

now we have small fuzzy stuffed animalz for spinning

what was i thinking

all the little animalz like early the 90's style cafe'
so what we need is some small cups
coffee, tea..... and some biskets
yea they'll come when we bring biskets

hell I just might go too

to find out more about "fake teeth and glue"s animal cruelty go to the intro thread "its a vampire thing".

i in no way condone cruelty to anmals, but i think a dog would be easy as they never let go with their teeth.

you could sequentially get larger animals on the poi. start with the squirrels, which will get eaten by the terriers, which will get eaten by tigers....and so on. although youd need heavy chains to spin tigers.

Great photos.

Interesting technique; what happens if the squirrel lets go?

It's for this reason that round these parts we just use 4-inch spikes with barbs.

Magnus... pay it forward

How long do you have to soak the squirrel before you light to have a decent spin time?

Has anyone thought of fish poi yet? I keep thinking of standing in a boat with a fishing line attached to each hand and hanging off each side of the boat waiting for the fish to get bigger, then swing away! Oh! and if the fish are pretty colors, then it's like an added bonus!
