So here I am again. It's been a while hasn't it. My alto sax initially got a lot of use. Funny isn't it, how a fulltime job takes away all your spare time. Haven't had any time to poi too, apart from Jugglejam on Mondays and the monthly Moonfests. And even then, it somehow seems I tend to play with the stockwhip instead of poi shrug

Another lens has been added to the stable too. A Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5-4.5.. nice and wiide. But it all boils back down to that time issue. Despite having the new lens, I seem to find I'm out taking less pictures.. the folio hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm starting to get the horrible feeling I'm stagnating. Must. Get out of this rut.

If you're my muse and reading this, inspiration needed now. hug

-Edited 14 Dec 2005-

I liken this to opening the fridge to find that jar of misc what's it, several months expired ubblol. Hey how's it going? wave

So what's new! Well.. poi's getting a bit better for one thing. Nice how after poi-ing for a while, you stop hitting yourself senseless. In fact, one might argue how after a certain point, each hit puts more sense into you.. wink Haven't gone skating or rockclimbing in a bit, but that's ok- life's full of wonderful distractions, and really, you can only do a couple at a time.

University's just wrapped up! Yep. A degree in art & visual culture, television & digital media.. Just waiting for a piece of paper at the moment (yay!). And trying to sort out how Australia will let me live here forever and ever biggrin. Have I mentioned how wonderful it is, you so ought to visit *nudge* wink Also been getting out the with photography and stuff- a couple of projects to follow up on, blue skies and puffy clouds as far as I can see.

Updates updates. [insert geek] I've updated my camera gear too.. my 20D, 17-85 4-5.6 IS and 580EX now have a 70-200 2.8L IS to play with.. soon too, riding on getting a particular gig, either a 350D and a 24-105 f4 IS, or another 20D.. -grin- [/end geek]

[edit 14/12/05: Gig didn't go through, and ended up performing at it instead of shooting it ubblol Life has a funny way of messing you about doesn't it.. so no 2nd body for me just yet, or nice 24-105 f4 IS redface]

Been taking lots of photos lately. I think there's something intrinsically beautiful in capturing moments- you know how you look at a photo and it brings you back to where you were that day, who you were with, how the air smelt even.. Maybe one day I'll get to exhibit ubblove.. but yeah.. lots of work to be done meantime.

Hmmmm.. yes the world's beautiful today. It's good to have new toys, new moves, new direction.. old friends hug.. a best friend hug2, and enough distractions not to get bored for too long.

Btw.. favourite words haven't changed.. ubbrollsmile And mm.. I'm still not too close to balletic, and dulcet..

Hmm.. la la la laaa squawk.. footinmouth

[edit 14/12/05: I now have a beautiful alto saxophone- the best use of which I have thus far found, is to attract ducks and other misc waterfowl]

Yep, how about we say still aspiring. biggrin

Hope all's well with everyone- don't be strangers now! hug biggrin

I've been exploring this site a bit lately, and have decided everyone seems like a nice bunch- thought it's about time I said hello. Ryan, 24, born in Singapore, but Brisbane Australia has been home to me for the past 3 years.

I love photography, playing the guitar (if one took a picture of me with my guitar, it looks like I'm playing it- does that count?), getting from point A to B on my trusty mountain bike, inline skating and hockey, occasionally rockclimbing, and just being in good company. I'd also like to add poiing to the list when I stop hitting myself senseless.

Irrelevantly, my two favourite words (I've got heaps if anyone's interested) are 'balletic' and 'dulcet'. 'Balletic', unfortunately, isn't a word I'd use to describe anything I can do, and 'dulcet' is a word I haven't dreamt of aspiring towards yet.

Enough for now, don't be strangers! biggrin

myco: It's amazing how much of a dessert freak I must come across online- I've never been much of a dessert person! However. I'm not one to turn down a good sweet. smile White chocolate creme brulee sounds like a good sweet. biggrin And I welcome any little joys in this thread too, so hug hug hug

dude, free yourself from the slavery that is television. ask yourself, out of all the things that you could be doing with your life, do you really want to waste your time on kerri anne? time is really the only thing that is limited in this life. you only have a certain amount of it, and NOTHING will get you any more once you quota is up. don't waste it being mind numbed and brain washed by that stupid machine. there are much better ways to waste you life than passively staring at the screen of a tv, watching portrayals of other peoples lives. there are so few worthwhile things of tv. take this expolsion as a blessing.

oh myco.. :P

you'd love the tee i've got on now... you know that 60's era 'exalt the new god' logo?

myco --------> eek

and it was just on for background noise. I wouldn't call myself nearly mind-numbed or brainwashed.

Just to clarify, I'm not a fan of Kerrianne, or Bert Newton for that matter. I notice you stopped short of saying 'there is nothing worthwhile on tv'. So would you meet me half way and agree there might be something on worth watching every now and again? smile

docos are cool. and i miss the news, news on the radio doesn't cut the mustard (not sure if that's the right context, but what a great saying!). don't know the logo, i got a tee that says 'kill your tv' and looks a bit like the tv week logo. sorry, i should have sprinkled that last post with a few smile's and wink's so you didn't think i was yelling at you or getting too worked up.

here's a cuddle so you don't take me too seriously hug

oh, and i did love the simpsons too!

No tv's a bit of a downer. It's not so much about it being there to be on, it's just about having the option.

*sigh*

Well Val, I guess I have no choice but to go for moonfest no do I? Seeing how there's no tv and all to fry my brains while I vegetate on the couch, wasting my life away..
