So here I am again. It's been a while hasn't it. My alto sax initially got a lot of use. Funny isn't it, how a fulltime job takes away all your spare time. Haven't had any time to poi too, apart from Jugglejam on Mondays and the monthly Moonfests. And even then, it somehow seems I tend to play with the stockwhip instead of poi shrug

Another lens has been added to the stable too. A Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5-4.5.. nice and wiide. But it all boils back down to that time issue. Despite having the new lens, I seem to find I'm out taking less pictures.. the folio hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm starting to get the horrible feeling I'm stagnating. Must. Get out of this rut.

If you're my muse and reading this, inspiration needed now. hug

-Edited 14 Dec 2005-

I liken this to opening the fridge to find that jar of misc what's it, several months expired ubblol. Hey how's it going? wave

So what's new! Well.. poi's getting a bit better for one thing. Nice how after poi-ing for a while, you stop hitting yourself senseless. In fact, one might argue how after a certain point, each hit puts more sense into you.. wink Haven't gone skating or rockclimbing in a bit, but that's ok- life's full of wonderful distractions, and really, you can only do a couple at a time.

University's just wrapped up! Yep. A degree in art & visual culture, television & digital media.. Just waiting for a piece of paper at the moment (yay!). And trying to sort out how Australia will let me live here forever and ever biggrin. Have I mentioned how wonderful it is, you so ought to visit *nudge* wink Also been getting out the with photography and stuff- a couple of projects to follow up on, blue skies and puffy clouds as far as I can see.

Updates updates. [insert geek] I've updated my camera gear too.. my 20D, 17-85 4-5.6 IS and 580EX now have a 70-200 2.8L IS to play with.. soon too, riding on getting a particular gig, either a 350D and a 24-105 f4 IS, or another 20D.. -grin- [/end geek]

[edit 14/12/05: Gig didn't go through, and ended up performing at it instead of shooting it ubblol Life has a funny way of messing you about doesn't it.. so no 2nd body for me just yet, or nice 24-105 f4 IS redface]

Been taking lots of photos lately. I think there's something intrinsically beautiful in capturing moments- you know how you look at a photo and it brings you back to where you were that day, who you were with, how the air smelt even.. Maybe one day I'll get to exhibit ubblove.. but yeah.. lots of work to be done meantime.

Hmmmm.. yes the world's beautiful today. It's good to have new toys, new moves, new direction.. old friends hug.. a best friend hug2, and enough distractions not to get bored for too long.

Btw.. favourite words haven't changed.. ubbrollsmile And mm.. I'm still not too close to balletic, and dulcet..

Hmm.. la la la laaa squawk.. footinmouth

[edit 14/12/05: I now have a beautiful alto saxophone- the best use of which I have thus far found, is to attract ducks and other misc waterfowl]

Yep, how about we say still aspiring. biggrin

Hope all's well with everyone- don't be strangers now! hug biggrin

I've been exploring this site a bit lately, and have decided everyone seems like a nice bunch- thought it's about time I said hello. Ryan, 24, born in Singapore, but Brisbane Australia has been home to me for the past 3 years.

I love photography, playing the guitar (if one took a picture of me with my guitar, it looks like I'm playing it- does that count?), getting from point A to B on my trusty mountain bike, inline skating and hockey, occasionally rockclimbing, and just being in good company. I'd also like to add poiing to the list when I stop hitting myself senseless.

Irrelevantly, my two favourite words (I've got heaps if anyone's interested) are 'balletic' and 'dulcet'. 'Balletic', unfortunately, isn't a word I'd use to describe anything I can do, and 'dulcet' is a word I haven't dreamt of aspiring towards yet.

Enough for now, don't be strangers! biggrin

What coconut biccies?? Where?

Kitten Kyle's in West End, he'll prolly get back to you if you PM him.. btw. His dreads are gone!!

Yep, apparently. A friend of mine asked "hey do you want to..". I said "sure!".

That's what you get when you say yes before people complete their sentences.. I then found out it was this thing:
https://www.bripoll.com.au/events.html

Which is great- I'd love to win a bike biggrin But heck.. I'm really going for the free food. Well, it's $15 but I guess I'll have to eat more won't I..

Want to go?

50kms.. It's nothing really- coming back from Shorncliffe is about that much too. Plus you're sitting down all the way. ubblol

A friend of mine, Tanja, with her partner, is cycling 5700kms (Brisbane-Perth) in June, to raise money for Red Nose Day (SIDS kids), doing 180km a day..

(an update soon)

Wearing red noses all the way too.. (that's probably the hardest part..)

Hi Ry! Haven't said hi in ages! The world domination plan is put aside for now because it requires more time than I have. I bet half of the people who attempted world domination were either spoiled brats or didn't care about their jobs or had no friends or all of that. They most certainly didn't have many friends, considering how many of them got killed by people they thought liked them wink

So how's you?

myco: *looks left, looks right, then left again* Where! ubblol

Birgit: Heya boss! The going's pretty good.. been having too much of a good time to be honest. Think I may be neglecting uni work a tad.. As soon as I get back from this birthday party I'm supposed to go for in an hour (will have to be back early unfortunately), I'm going to sit myself down and churn out a few Maya animations.. I hope. Pity about the world domination- you were so close! What happened was one of the clones realised you were missing and has assumed your identity. They plan to unleash the growing army in the year 2010. Won't happen though. The second clone found out she could clone your beer stocks- the army's stopped growing, and they're all in some random forest getting way off their faces at a doof. biggrin

lou: Yes. I'm very disappointed. DHL next time hehe. Or maybe we should fly like normal people.. ubblol My tea's going quite quickly, it's not too bad, but it's not the best tea I've had. I quite like plain chinese tea (xiangpian) but I haven't got round to buying any though.. Sooon.. ubbrollsmile
