So here I am again. It's been a while hasn't it. My alto sax initially got a lot of use. Funny isn't it, how a fulltime job takes away all your spare time. Haven't had any time to poi too, apart from Jugglejam on Mondays and the monthly Moonfests. And even then, it somehow seems I tend to play with the stockwhip instead of poi shrug

Another lens has been added to the stable too. A Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5-4.5.. nice and wiide. But it all boils back down to that time issue. Despite having the new lens, I seem to find I'm out taking less pictures.. the folio hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm starting to get the horrible feeling I'm stagnating. Must. Get out of this rut.

If you're my muse and reading this, inspiration needed now. hug

-Edited 14 Dec 2005-

I liken this to opening the fridge to find that jar of misc what's it, several months expired ubblol. Hey how's it going? wave

So what's new! Well.. poi's getting a bit better for one thing. Nice how after poi-ing for a while, you stop hitting yourself senseless. In fact, one might argue how after a certain point, each hit puts more sense into you.. wink Haven't gone skating or rockclimbing in a bit, but that's ok- life's full of wonderful distractions, and really, you can only do a couple at a time.

University's just wrapped up! Yep. A degree in art & visual culture, television & digital media.. Just waiting for a piece of paper at the moment (yay!). And trying to sort out how Australia will let me live here forever and ever biggrin. Have I mentioned how wonderful it is, you so ought to visit *nudge* wink Also been getting out the with photography and stuff- a couple of projects to follow up on, blue skies and puffy clouds as far as I can see.

Updates updates. [insert geek] I've updated my camera gear too.. my 20D, 17-85 4-5.6 IS and 580EX now have a 70-200 2.8L IS to play with.. soon too, riding on getting a particular gig, either a 350D and a 24-105 f4 IS, or another 20D.. -grin- [/end geek]

[edit 14/12/05: Gig didn't go through, and ended up performing at it instead of shooting it ubblol Life has a funny way of messing you about doesn't it.. so no 2nd body for me just yet, or nice 24-105 f4 IS redface]

Been taking lots of photos lately. I think there's something intrinsically beautiful in capturing moments- you know how you look at a photo and it brings you back to where you were that day, who you were with, how the air smelt even.. Maybe one day I'll get to exhibit ubblove.. but yeah.. lots of work to be done meantime.

Hmmmm.. yes the world's beautiful today. It's good to have new toys, new moves, new direction.. old friends hug.. a best friend hug2, and enough distractions not to get bored for too long.

Btw.. favourite words haven't changed.. ubbrollsmile And mm.. I'm still not too close to balletic, and dulcet..

Hmm.. la la la laaa squawk.. footinmouth

[edit 14/12/05: I now have a beautiful alto saxophone- the best use of which I have thus far found, is to attract ducks and other misc waterfowl]

Yep, how about we say still aspiring. biggrin

Hope all's well with everyone- don't be strangers now! hug biggrin

I've been exploring this site a bit lately, and have decided everyone seems like a nice bunch- thought it's about time I said hello. Ryan, 24, born in Singapore, but Brisbane Australia has been home to me for the past 3 years.

I love photography, playing the guitar (if one took a picture of me with my guitar, it looks like I'm playing it- does that count?), getting from point A to B on my trusty mountain bike, inline skating and hockey, occasionally rockclimbing, and just being in good company. I'd also like to add poiing to the list when I stop hitting myself senseless.

Irrelevantly, my two favourite words (I've got heaps if anyone's interested) are 'balletic' and 'dulcet'. 'Balletic', unfortunately, isn't a word I'd use to describe anything I can do, and 'dulcet' is a word I haven't dreamt of aspiring towards yet.

Enough for now, don't be strangers! biggrin

Hello froggie! wave wave Thanks muchly- and you're making life so much easier for me. Going out to look for frogs to kiss is really tedious. Plus every so often you accidentally kiss a toad and get high. Lose so much time that way.. biggrin

lou: lol! Attack of the clones!! Have they got individual names? If I were Mr Do Bee and someone else told me he was Mr Do Bee, and he looked just like me, I'd not be amused. ubblol

lilune: Nouns are words too! Proper nouns (names etc.) don't count though.

A blind person who can feel colour?? It's possible she wasn't 100% blind though. Like some of them see things in shades of light and dark, but are still legally blind. Saw this thing on tv about this blind girl who raced dogsled! She could only see shades of light and dark only a few metres in front of her though. Inspiring.

Here. Have a katydid:

Frogs all over the world are trembling in their webbed feet as we speak.. You do realise that now I've been spotlit, frogging's going to become even more difficult because they're all digging new secret bunkers.. But then I do suppose you have vested interest in froggy welfare..

Well.. if they're up for a song and dance, I'd appreciate them calling advance.

Song and dance (or other act) like so:

courtesy of this guy.

Incidentally, if they're coming to do away with me to pay back all the trauma (there are a heck of a lot of non-princess frogs out there..) I've put them through, I'd appreciate them calling in advance too. biggrin

Btw miss froggie, you'll possibly enjoy this link (and the next 44 pages too..) ubbrollsmile

thank you for the katydid, i cant help pronouncing it like katy did as in katy did a cartwheel, but i doubt that's right.
here....have a...owp....no, dropped it, sorry redface
no she really was blind blind. some people say that different colours have warmth so i guess thats how she did it. she must have been able to see at some point in her life though or she wouldn't know what colour she was looking for.
that's pretty amazing, so she couldn't see colour? aparently cats can only see black and white and red but i dont know how true that is. and turtles, aparently, cant see red, thats why they use red torches on the guide group things to watch turtles laying their eggs smile

froggie: Aren't they just! If I could, I'd build them a 3 storey house and turn it into a habitat. Green, Blue and Pink frogs mainly, but others would be welcome. And I'd have it next to a creek in a tropical rainforest so they can go for long relaxing hops and stuff. biggrin hug
