So here I am again. It's been a while hasn't it. My alto sax initially got a lot of use. Funny isn't it, how a fulltime job takes away all your spare time. Haven't had any time to poi too, apart from Jugglejam on Mondays and the monthly Moonfests. And even then, it somehow seems I tend to play with the stockwhip instead of poi shrug

Another lens has been added to the stable too. A Canon EF-S 10-22 3.5-4.5.. nice and wiide. But it all boils back down to that time issue. Despite having the new lens, I seem to find I'm out taking less pictures.. the folio hasn't been updated in a while, and I'm starting to get the horrible feeling I'm stagnating. Must. Get out of this rut.

If you're my muse and reading this, inspiration needed now. hug

-Edited 14 Dec 2005-

I liken this to opening the fridge to find that jar of misc what's it, several months expired ubblol. Hey how's it going? wave

So what's new! Well.. poi's getting a bit better for one thing. Nice how after poi-ing for a while, you stop hitting yourself senseless. In fact, one might argue how after a certain point, each hit puts more sense into you.. wink Haven't gone skating or rockclimbing in a bit, but that's ok- life's full of wonderful distractions, and really, you can only do a couple at a time.

University's just wrapped up! Yep. A degree in art & visual culture, television & digital media.. Just waiting for a piece of paper at the moment (yay!). And trying to sort out how Australia will let me live here forever and ever biggrin. Have I mentioned how wonderful it is, you so ought to visit *nudge* wink Also been getting out the with photography and stuff- a couple of projects to follow up on, blue skies and puffy clouds as far as I can see.

Updates updates. [insert geek] I've updated my camera gear too.. my 20D, 17-85 4-5.6 IS and 580EX now have a 70-200 2.8L IS to play with.. soon too, riding on getting a particular gig, either a 350D and a 24-105 f4 IS, or another 20D.. -grin- [/end geek]

[edit 14/12/05: Gig didn't go through, and ended up performing at it instead of shooting it ubblol Life has a funny way of messing you about doesn't it.. so no 2nd body for me just yet, or nice 24-105 f4 IS redface]

Been taking lots of photos lately. I think there's something intrinsically beautiful in capturing moments- you know how you look at a photo and it brings you back to where you were that day, who you were with, how the air smelt even.. Maybe one day I'll get to exhibit ubblove.. but yeah.. lots of work to be done meantime.

Hmmmm.. yes the world's beautiful today. It's good to have new toys, new moves, new direction.. old friends hug.. a best friend hug2, and enough distractions not to get bored for too long.

Btw.. favourite words haven't changed.. ubbrollsmile And mm.. I'm still not too close to balletic, and dulcet..

Hmm.. la la la laaa squawk.. footinmouth

[edit 14/12/05: I now have a beautiful alto saxophone- the best use of which I have thus far found, is to attract ducks and other misc waterfowl]

Yep, how about we say still aspiring. biggrin

Hope all's well with everyone- don't be strangers now! hug biggrin

I've been exploring this site a bit lately, and have decided everyone seems like a nice bunch- thought it's about time I said hello. Ryan, 24, born in Singapore, but Brisbane Australia has been home to me for the past 3 years.

I love photography, playing the guitar (if one took a picture of me with my guitar, it looks like I'm playing it- does that count?), getting from point A to B on my trusty mountain bike, inline skating and hockey, occasionally rockclimbing, and just being in good company. I'd also like to add poiing to the list when I stop hitting myself senseless.

Irrelevantly, my two favourite words (I've got heaps if anyone's interested) are 'balletic' and 'dulcet'. 'Balletic', unfortunately, isn't a word I'd use to describe anything I can do, and 'dulcet' is a word I haven't dreamt of aspiring towards yet.

Enough for now, don't be strangers! biggrin

Kels: Looks really brutal! ubblol I think the nicely braided leather ones have so much more character.. but hey.. I'm no connoisseur of misc kinky bedroom toys.. ubbangel

That picture of that boy's back (mouse indeed ubblol devil ubblol).. I actually came across that one a couple of times while searching for Birg's cat.. ubblol tsk!

And hey miss.. don't worry about not being a dom.. I prefer a sub personally ubblol devil

Dave: Hey even if ubbangel Kels ubbangel was a nymphomaniacal dominatrix.. would you spoil it by advertising? phht!

And now I've got George Bush in my thread! Not scoring points sir!! ubblol

Tibetian Mountain Goat?? Have you seen the fainting goats??

Birg: Broke the heating element? Or the whip? If it was just the tip, isn't that the fall or the cracker.. i.e. repairable? confused

Ann Summers leather cat?? Show!! ubbangel

Black and crimson wedding dress.. hmmmm.... *furrows brow*

Jen: Surely someone around you has a camera! spank (not whip-or-cat-related spank btw ubblol) So what's the long term plan with your body art- more?

I'm good thanks. Today's been just a day of unwinding and just chilling. Woke up late-ish (for a week day) because it's a public holiday (people's day for the Ekka carnival), and didn't have to go to work. Had a leisurely lunch- leftovers, sent off a couple of emails (to Yoho regarding their LED poi stuff, and to thewhipman enquiring about whips), got up to date with HoP and soton (strugz' Irish invasion vid was such a good watch), did groceries ubblove, and here I am..

Cruisy! cool How is you? hug

heehe.. When Birg asked for the cat pic.. that was the first thing I started looking for! Only managed to find the movie/book cover though.. Good find! clap

Well it got caught and unwound quite a bit, and the tip thing came off. Since it was only a 3 pound joke shop item I decided to replace it with a more decent one.

Will show you when I'm not at work and can open the Ann Summers pages without everyone looking over my shoulder!! Got a reputation to keep nice and clean wink

It's just an imaginary wedding! But since it'll take place at an old castle ruin, black and red fits in perfectly biggrin And anyways, I'm really pale so wouldn't look good in white or that off-white "ivory" nonsense they sell to non-virgins here.

Chuh! 3 pound joke shop item's not a whip! tongue Wonder how much my matched stock whips are going to set me back.. *worries*

If it were a castle, a light cream gown would fit in perfectly well too.. *thinks black and red for a wedding gown.. eek*

*meanwhile, gets distracted by Ann Summers lingerie* ubblol

I SAID that one was for a costume! tongue We got told we weren't supposed to use them (much) because the audience was quite close. But then I stood on a cold hill for about 1 hour for a photoshoot whipping the air, which was fun smile

By the way, it still hurt, even if it was cheap ubblol

Pink whips are just wrong though. eek

And as I just edited in above, I don't look good in light colours, so cream is completely out of the question. And since the boy liked the idea of red and black, that's what matters biggrin

I've never heard about Vollers. Is that like Ann Summers?

Birg: Whipping the air with a cat? ubblol Where's the fun in that? Hey. Do cat's crack? I can't imagine they do.. do they?

Pink whips ubblol Hey.. it's not the colour- it's what you do with it wink

I'm sure you'll look great in cream btw. *stops to think* Man this thread is getting worse and worse isn't it! ubblol

nononononononono! The OLD one was a normal whip, the NEW one is a cat!

The link is listed to "things to look at when I'm not working".

As for the pink, if you were to REALLY use the whip the colour would bite with the bloodstains. But then that's just me watching too much Pirates of the Caribbean!

And by now everybody on here probably thinks I'm a bit weird anyways, cream or no! ubblol

(mmmmmmhm, cream!)

v176u (looking at the black one..), v1107, v1905u in black ubblove.. or even in the denim.. anything but gold or silver! Or even the blue v1925u..
