Hey everyone! I just came across this site today for the first time.
I've been pole dancing for about 9 months now and have been looking for cool new skills to acquire.
This site was posted in response to one of my threads on a pole dance forum when I asked about other hobbies (aerial or otherwise) people had. I can't wait to explore the site!
Other than the obvious hobbies, I have also played around a bit with contact juggling but I'm not very good. I picked that one up because I used to be a portrait artist in a theme park, and there was a contact juggler stationed near my stand and I was totally mesmerized by her performance. I haven't had much time to practice since then but I just purchased a new ball to practice with and I'm waiting for it to arrive, so hopefully I'll improve very soon! I'm also interested in learning hooping. There are many other art forms I'd love to learn as well, but being a poor college student I'm looking to learn things that don't require expensive equipment (I just about broke the bank on my pole stuff, which I devote most of my free time to - it's my main obsession.)

welcome to home of poi. I feel you on the budget part of exploring new hobbies they get pricy and addictive so you always end up with five of anything so it can fit your mood other then that little drawl back though they are all well worth it, welcome again to home of poi and I hope you have as much fun learning and expanding you art form as the rest of us here do ours.
