Hi from Delaware! I'm new to the forums and new to spinning. I picked it up over the summer at Gaian Mind Festival and have gotten some supplies and DVDs to work on the craft from this site to add onto the glow poi I started with. I hope to try fire after I master the simple stuff and stop bonking myself with fluffies and sock poi (the pro series chains have helped with that a ton, good weight!) I'm a hard working novice who may not be flashy, but what I do is clean and my goal truly is to dance with the poi. I LOVE to dance yes

I'm here to learn, talk story, and hopefully find some gatherings and workshops within driving distance. I guess that's good for now, yeah? Have a good one everybody! thankx

I know it's a little late, but there is a juggling fest over in MD right around the beginning of summer.
Also, a Philadelphia juggling fest coming up next weekend.

Both of which probably have poi people (and devil stick/diabolo people too)

Welcome to the HoP! =)

Hey there, thanks so much for the info and welcome! You wouldn't happen to have a website with the Philly info by chance?

It would be nice to network with some people I could practice with who are somewhat local (we drive to MD, PA, and DC frequently just to have fun). I have a feeling that when I'm ready for fire my apartment complex is going to have a problem with it (all the lawns are theirs you know) and knowing experienced spinners who could spot and teach would be a great benefit. Stepping up my Devil Stick/Diabolo would be great as well and I LOVE watching people do awesome stuff in general!

I didn't know about any juggling festivals and picked up the hobbies at Psytrance festival workshops. Thanks again! grin

Hey there, no problem. Yea, I know for a fact ( at least this year and I beleive in previous years ) the Maryland fest has some fire going on after the show, but that's about 8 or 9 months away...

As for Philly Fest https://phillyjugglers.com/
You can also keep an eye on https://www.jugglenyc.com/

I realize you aren't in NY, but they have a good list of random events, and also https://www.jugglingdb.com
has a list of events by region.
Of course for more poi oriented events, the HoP here has a good list, course I can generally say it'd occasionally be nice to live closer to their events.

Hope you're able to make it to Philly, it's usually a good time =). I'll be there juggling, spinning, and working on random other things.

Good Luck =)

Ciao for Now

Looks like my other half and I can make it up there on Saturday, hope to run into you and meet some other spinners. I'll just bring all my toys so I can have a chance to work on each of them and he has something to do as well. *has learned she is not good at teaching him LOL* I'm hoping to arrive before noon but I'll have to cut out early due to his work schedule (night shift bleh), it should be good though. We don't get out enough during daylight so this is an awesome change!:)

Hey there! I'd love to have some locals to spin with smile I'm down in Dover, but I try to get up to the northern end of the state weekly. If you have any little get togethers coming up that would rock (informal or whatever). I'm a novice that could stand a little direction that is not available on a DVD, plus some local friends would be awesome too of course. yes

Nice to know I'm not the only DE person, but I do seem to be the only southern DE person... Good thing I like leaving my zip code a few times a week grin
