Hi guys!

You know the feeling that you have to do something, because it's really cool, but you somehow keep on forgetting or think "Oh, i'll do that later on..". Joining the Home of Poi forum is something like that for me; i've been using Home of Poi for years to learn new moves and read about poi, but never registerd myself at the forum. Now is the moment that I finally convinced myself to register, so here I am! smile

I think I'm going to use your handy introduction questionnaire, since I myself would never have thought of mentioning my preferences regarding Nutella and marmite! tongue2

Name: Rúna

Location: The Netherlands

Hometown: Amsterdam! Woohoo! grin

Birthday (sign?): 17th of January, so I'm a Capricorn.

Age: 17

Sex: Female

Occupation(s): School, and a little job (I don't know what you call it in English, but it involves helping kids who have problems learning with their homework and tests)

Favorite Food(s): Hehe.. Difficult.. I like most Italian food (Pizza, spaghetti), Asian food, Dutch food, fusion stuff, etc, well, practically I'm not a difficult eater, but the only thing I find very disgusting is coriander (weird, but true).

Favorite Color(s): Purple and black!

What is the wing speed of an unladen swallow? "African or an American swallow? I don't know.. AAARHHH!"

Toys: Poi, LED-poi, fire poi, diabolo (very crappy one, but I can do a trick or two).

Hobbies other than the obvious: Making/Listening to music (I play the piano and I like to sing), going outdoors, drawing, reading, making costumes, sleeping, and just having a good time, like going to the park with friends and make a campfire and sing songs and do other hippie-things.

Education: Something we call VWO here in the Netherlands, I believe it's a bit like high-school, the highiest level of pre-University education. Next year I can go to University. smile Oh, I believe in some countries it's called grammarschool.

Favorite Book(s): Fantasy-stuff, especially Tolkien and Terry Pratchett, and mythology, like Celtic stories, Icelandic sagas and the Edda, Poe's work, Alice in Wonderland, Philip Pullman's "His Dark Materials-trilogy" and some titles from Dutch literature, that probably won't say anything to you (except if there are more Dutch people hanging around here? If you are interested, just ask! ;))

Favorite Movie(s): I like Tim Burton's work, The Lord of the Rings (I can watch those movies aaaall day long :P), Monty Python movies, Being John Malkovich, The Big Lebowski, Edward Scissorhands, Studio Ghibli movies (Spirited away, Howl's Moving Castle), and I was thinking about some other titles but I forgot while typing.. smirk

Godzilla vs. a Star Wars Star Destroyer. Who wins? Why? Star Wars destroyer. I like star Wars, and to be honest, I never saw Godzilla.

Favorite TV show(s): I really enjoyed British comedyseries like Little Britain and Absolutely fabulous, but they don't broadcast them here anymore. Right now I'm watching a series about Jane Eyre, and sometimes I watch some anime. And good old Family Guy and Southpark of course, and The Simpsons.

Plans for life in general: (i.e. what you want to do when you grow up) Save the world, live in a castle or a treehouse, learn firebreathing, travel to interesting countries (cliché, cliché..) and for the rest just keep enjoying life the way i do now! smile

Favorite Music Artists/Composers: Hmm.. that's many! In general I like Rockmusic like Muse and Led Zeppelin, hippiemusic like The Beatles and Jefferson Airplane, celtic/folkmusic and metal, as long as it's in a way melodic (not just the noise), like Moonsorrow, Ensiferum and System of a Down.

Do you think these pants make my butt look too big? Definetly.. disgusting..

Favorie ice cream flavor(s): Chocolate! ^_^

Marmite, Vegemite, or Nutella?* Nutella! Marmite tends to look suspicious, and i have never heard of anything like Vegemite.. Nutella is good, though! smile

That's it for now, ask anything you want to know! I'm going to check out your forum.
Greetz, Rúna.

Welcome!

Your taste in books and movies is good. wink

'We're all mad here. I'm mad, you're mad." [said the Cat.]
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "Or you wouldn't have come here."
