I'm not on the online community, and I don't even have the game yet, but my friend has a not-yet-purchased version.

It's amusing how much hearing the voices talk Russian to each other enhances the overall effect smile

I need to get this.

It is fun. Lots of things to kill....

'We're all mad here. I'm mad, you're mad." [said the Cat.]
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "Or you wouldn't have come here."

I played it before, but had a downloaded version which would rarely work online.
It gets kinda boring killing a stream of zombies with AI teammates

It has a glow of accomplishment similar to Dynasty Warriors - cutting down hundreds of weak bad guys with the occasional challenge.

Been toying with the idea of d/ling for a whiles but have been hearing mixed reviews on online play on dubious copies.

Anyone else had such experiences?

Just buy it from Steam or your local PC game shop.

It's more than worth it grin

Don't get a botched copy, trust me. It'd be extremely unreliable since you have to play through a logged in steam account. It's not worth the hassle, and you can download it via steam for only 26.99 right now. And like all of Valves games it will be updated for most likely a few years to come, so its a good investment smile
