Posted: Oh my god. This really has my mind melting. Its the ones for Cyrille that mess me up badly. I absolutely love the point isolation in #4, but I don't know HOW I would even go about getting that down.
Its quite...mindblowing.

Posted: The first is clear dual paracircle I think, the second is with one hand.
The third is half circle spin, the fourth is like third, but with longarm + fullizo and hybrid.

Posted: Hey guys, I've been lazy in updating those animations with info. C.A.P. stands for Continuous Assembly Pattern. It was coined by Damien: [Old link]
Number 2 is hands same-time, same-direction as seen from the side... So of course it looks just like one hand (notice the slight green tint of the other poi behind the blue).
The 3rd one is hands same-same. But the poi are same-dir split-time. So one hand does half an antispin (+) where the petals point horizontal/vertical, like a plus or cross. The other hand is half of an anitspin (X) where the petals point at diagonals, like an X. Then you speed up your poi spin to do half of a 2-petal horizontal in-spin flower VS long arm. I think Pete has played with these as hybrid fountains.
The forth one is doable with clubs... but not exactly with poi. It is just the exact timing analog of some of the earlier patterns. So far the closest I get is doing a bit of a linear iso pointing back, instead of a perfect point iso. Even if you get a great point iso, it is almost impossible to go right into the antispin, with out your poi getting floppy.
Oh yeah, a few more things: This thread could be moved to the [Old link] thread I linked above, Where Damien mentions CAP.
and Richee, I use 3ds MAX 2009, from Autodesk. It has a bit of a learning curve. What may be of more interest is Truespace 7.6, by Caligari. It is FREE!!! It is easier than 3ds MAX to learn I think... and it is the only 3d modeling package that supports realtime collaborative modeling over the Internet!!!! That's right if we all start getting used to doing basic animating with Truespace, we can all collaborate on ideas, in 3d, in realitme!!!

Posted: ahh, thank you for the explanations, Jon. #4 was wreaking my head. Im still not quite getting #3 though. Are the poi crossing a centerline, like in a 3bt weave? I know you said Mireneye was doing something along these lines as a hybrid fountain, but I can't quite get how to pull off the diagonal rotations without tangling it in the other poi.

Posted: To Clarify: I meant Petey aka Pineapple Pete. You can see the "hybrid fountain" or 'hybrid flower thing' (2-petal) at 2:44 in his hybrids tutorial on youtube.
I said fountain in my last post cuz its similar to a buzzsaw fountain in terms of cross points. Pete's video should make it pretty clear.
Really the easiest way to do it is to go back to basics. spin the poi at your sides in wheel plane. Get good at spinning hybrids from here. Even though your hands aren't near each other (on their own sides of your body) from the right angle you still look like you are doing a hybrid.
