I made a makeshift set of poi out of a pair of nylons with tennis balls a while ago. I had a lot of fun with them but they ripped, so I ordered a pair of chain and ball poi (the instructional set) and two glow balls. Now I can't wait for my order to arrive at my door step : D

Glad to see I'm not the only one that still hasn't gotten bored with teh.

So you wanna be a family doc, huh? Not a common aspiration, I must say, which makes me respect it all the more.
I'm a pediatrician and I wouldn't have it any other way. :-)

Posted: @Fire My name came from an inside joke, but I guess your right too. Forums are awesome, I like the smaller ones where you get to know the people, or you join it when the forum starts and you get to know the people really well.
@Doc Um... Nutella is the only one of the three I've heard of XD Yeah, I want to be a family doctor or a pediatrician.
@Hamamelis Thanks, do you know what the average range is for this forum is? If so, could you tell me?

Posted: Well, I'll tell you one thing. If you're a pediatrician, you're going into one of the hardest-working, lowest-paid fields in medicine.
It's also the happiest with an 89% career retention rate.
So you mean Durham, ON? The teensy town of like 2,000 people?
What's THAT like?

I forgot there was a Durham back in Canada.
No, I'm in Durham, North Carolina, sorry about that.
Its odd down here, theres a church at every street corner, er thats what it seems like. I don't really mind though, it just seems like overkill. It gets really hot here in the summer 3
Oh, and they close the schools down if we get an inch of snow XDD
Hm, I looked at the pay per year for pediatricians and it looked like it could pay pretty good, but I guess Ill look into more.

Anyway, don't make a career decision on the paycheck alone. That's a fantastic way to live a miserable, uninspired life.

@Doc I went with a person to shadow him for a day as a pediatrician and it was really interesting.

Posted: Screw interesting! When a drooly toddler looks up at you and gives you a big grin with just a few teeth coming in, the feeling it gives you beats "interesting" any day of the week.
It's even cooler to watch an 8yo up, running around, and giggling after you nursed him back from the brink of dehydration.

Though the Nutella cannon can manage further than that..
Is that what you meant?

@Hamaelis Nutella cannon? At a camp I was in charge of the making of a trebuchet that could fire a 50 pound boulder over 500 feet and knock a tree down >:]
