Posted: so... erm... hi! im earl! (yes... thats my actual name...)
hrm... what else should you all know...
im a student (in my last year of study at Naropa University pursuing a BFA in Theatre/Dance performance). im asian, im big (im probably the biggest guy you'll ever see do a triple pirouette), and ive got a mohican/mohawk and a lip ring. im originally from... all over. i was born in chicago, and raised there, in ireland, and in seoul... and i moved to boulder, colorado almost a year ago from cardiff, wales.
im a complete beginner when it comes to poi, but im definitely eager to learn as much as i can. my interest in spinning poi got piqued when i was out in hawaii a few weeks ago. i've been aware of poi and have dabbled/played/arsed around with friends who are much more experienced than i, but ive taken a firm resolve to seriously study (as much as i can anyway) this fantastically beautiful art. if anything, i have experience with chain whip/meteor/rope dart, so... hopefully my experience with loose/"soft" weapons will help me out... but im anticipating lots of welts and getting boffed in the face :P
annnnnyways... im sure thats much more information about me than anyone needed to know... but... yeah!
