Hey all I am from Port Douglas and I have just started to play with Poi I think I am pretty good for a beginer and I am going to take some lessons soon to learn some new tricks.. I love it. Would be happy to meet people with the same love for it as me...

There are quite a few crew in Cairns who play well. Nothing very organised in terms of classes, but nice folks. We were up there busking a few weeks ago...Hydroslinky is one... and some others who are not on HoP but if you are interested I can send you their contact details.

Well I dont know if I would call it winter here in Port Douglas.. it never gets below 15C (thats the overnight low)...
To answer your question I would way rather a winter here I HATE the cold with a passion!
