... now I danced late night, sweating, rode my motorbike, did a uHaul and carried heavy bags...
One day ahead the great party - which happened right in the yard of my new accommodation - I was getting severe lower back pain (again) and was paralysed for 24 hrs... (which somehow scared me for a few hours)
So I took my tennisball-poi, stuck them into a sock and knotted it, layed down with my spine and inflicted a nice massage, acupressure on my back... which - essentially - saved me and got me out of bed again (much of the backache is related to muscular tension)...
So.... I
my poi even more, they are a great toy and tool... 
Anybody else got ways to alternatively use theirs?

A couple of balls short of a full cascade... or maybe a few cards short of a deck... we'll see how this all fans out.

i've done that in a club, was swinging glow sticks around and caught this idiot around the face a treat HoP mage and keeper of the fireballs

found a good use for a staff - balance it across my room between two shelf-y things and use it as a washing line for socks etc. Probably best i didnt put anything on the ends - never good if your clean laundry starts to smell of parafin again before its even dry!

also.....................aother good use for a staff is when you loose the remote for the telly/sterio you can use the staff to turn it up 70 posts

surely if you could aim your poi well and do stalls you could use them to operate the tv?

I tended to do that with the lightbulb... errm, to switch the flick... errm, turn the lights off that is the best smiles are the ones you lead to

ive used one poi as a diabolo string, it added a new dimension two throws: *throw* *wibble* *catch*
