So it seems there might be a few spinners heading to asia this winter with spinning on their minds. I just wanted to see who else is heading over, what their plans are while they're over there.

My tickets are booked! I'm arriving in bangkok 16th november, and returning to ireland 3rd February

I've heard from a lot of spinners of a park in bangkok where people meet up every day to play. Thanks to Banshee Cat for the following info:

 Written by:

It is the Pra Atit boat stop, and the park is called Pra Sumen. I would reccommend staying closish by at the guesthouses on Sri Ayyutaya rd-- Tavees Guesthouse, or Sri Ayyutaya's, or Shantis, all very close together down that road. Nice community... May Kai Dees is a great restaurant for veggie food along near that strip-two locations, one on samsen, and one off the end of Kho San rd and across the st.... Probably more specific address in the guide books...

Nick (poi celebrity number 1 wink) is planning on a poi camp in Pai, northern Thailand, where spinipulation enthusiasts can meet up and play, practice, etc (see his post below). I definately plan on spending some time up there with him during my adventure. Probably stop number one after bangkok... ubbrollsmile

Leave your winter behind, come find some winter summer!

COME SEE HOW FAR THE RABBIT HOLE GOES!

well it seems a little crew is headed back up to Pai, Dan and Krista, Nick, me, MK... time for some serious spinning I think.

Mk had to have surgery on her knee here in Chiang Mai-- what an adventure. I dont think the hospital has yet recovered from all the silly people spinning in bunny ears and moustaches... I will post some pics later. She is doing really well.

I will stay in Pai for five days or so, then head south again to check out my new home!

Andrea how's MK now?

Give her ubblove and hug hug hug hug hug hug hug from me, please....

I'll be off to India very shortly, coming back to Thailand for Songkran (April 11.th) - miss you guys already.

Proud to announce that the Thai immigration pointed me out that I cannot stay in Thailand more than 3 months within a 6 month period (and I almost exceeded that limit) - so whatever I would want, I would HAVE to take a break... shrug :cries:

Cant think why any poi people would be in Naritiwat or Pattani winkDont worry...

I have been there before, its as slow as mud. Lovely, in a weird slow mud kinda way. Strange to thing of insurgency there, I suspect the youth is frankly just bored out of their skulls.

Anyways, most of us are in Pai, and the only explosives to celebrate Chinese New Year last night...

hey to all those hwo participated with the shows at Big Blue and Sanctuary--- I am still putzing about trying to figure where the best place to donate the money is. It is good research for me anyways since I want o work with some of these initiatives.

Anyways, wondering what you think of this one. They seem to have it together, very personal small scale, very functional.

Let me know if you think it is a good place to put our funds!

In addition to the set I have of just fire photos which are currently all from Thailand, hopefully I'll be adding some from India starting tomorrow.

Nick has also posted many of my photos to his account since I'm usually fairly selective about what I post to mine and I'm often slow upload new photos. See his

I'll work on getting the videos up, unless your saying you want to do it. I don't have any objections, I don't know about the other participants. FWIW, I'm still having trouble with the whole video editing thing....

I think we'll be staying in Calangute, friend of the friend I'm staying with in Mumbai owns a GH there so I can't really say no, although we might move depending on what it's like. We should arrive around March 6/7

Is there anywhere specific people are meeting up, like the park in Bangkok kind of thing? If not I'll call and keep and eye out for people spinning/juggling things.
