So it seems there might be a few spinners heading to asia this winter with spinning on their minds. I just wanted to see who else is heading over, what their plans are while they're over there.

My tickets are booked! I'm arriving in bangkok 16th november, and returning to ireland 3rd February

I've heard from a lot of spinners of a park in bangkok where people meet up every day to play. Thanks to Banshee Cat for the following info:

 Written by:

It is the Pra Atit boat stop, and the park is called Pra Sumen. I would reccommend staying closish by at the guesthouses on Sri Ayyutaya rd-- Tavees Guesthouse, or Sri Ayyutaya's, or Shantis, all very close together down that road. Nice community... May Kai Dees is a great restaurant for veggie food along near that strip-two locations, one on samsen, and one off the end of Kho San rd and across the st.... Probably more specific address in the guide books...

Nick (poi celebrity number 1 wink) is planning on a poi camp in Pai, northern Thailand, where spinipulation enthusiasts can meet up and play, practice, etc (see his post below). I definately plan on spending some time up there with him during my adventure. Probably stop number one after bangkok... ubbrollsmile

Leave your winter behind, come find some winter summer!

Hmn, eek I dont think I have ever had a man ask to be my "ex' before we even started any sort of relationship?!

Alarming. Apparently I now go immediately from introductions to tragic endings, with lovers ending up ( er , starting? )worlds and lives apart... sniffle ;

I am occasionally worried about what mischief my exes are up to there? I suspect they have met, as of yet unaware of any common history, and are starting a band. Only a matter of time until it all implodes... lol

Do you play an instruement? haha kidding...

I'm in thailand at the mo, currently residing on Koh Pha ngan until after the full moon party smile Anyone about? in particular, will there be anyone in Chiang Mai for Songkran? I doubt i'll have enough time to make it up to pai, as i fly back on 21st April, and haven't even been to Bangkok yet! Travelling the Mae Hong Son loop is tempting though...

Also, does anyone know anywhere on Koh pg i could get hold on some paraffin/kerosene?

Thanks all, have fun in the sun smile

Hmn, I was just thinking a similar thought, but more like Chiang Mai is the place to be for it! lol Fun whereever you are!

Candy and a few other friends just said they are headed there for the New Years festival... It is one of the wildest times. Sorry to be missing it, Songkran is one of my favorites.

Maybe I will do an indoor version here, that could be a laugh!

I get back to Bangkok around the first. Yay!
