Hi to all you twirlers and HoP lovers!

I'm Malcolm's latest addition to the HoP family with my first day of work here at HoP today (Mon 16th Oct 06) and I see lots of fun ahead (as well as a huge learning curve)! I am totally new to poi so I hope I don't make too many dumb comments!

A bit about me then:

George McNeur, male, age... "enough"!

Family: wife Heather, 3 boys 12, 13, & 15.

Location - Christchurch, NZ.

working career: Electronics Engineering - 15yrs RNZAF, 6 yrs in Test/Manufacturing and 6.5 yrs network products R&D.

You can find out a teensy bit more about me/what I've done at these sites:

https://kiwisoldier.150m.com/now.htm#george

https://kiwionice.150m.com/

and my current main interest outside of work and family: https://aotearoakendo.150m.com/

So, looking forward to the journey, and meeting all you guys 'n girls.

cheers

George

All of mine, except for the rapier would have split a hair in mid-air...(heeheee...that rhymes)...but someone took them when I kicked them out of my house...so I only have a very few of my sharp objects left...altho my favourite ones are my daggers...I have a Scottish Dirk and another dagger that has a Moon Goddess on the handle and the sheath...I'd post pics, but I do believe that my gallery space is pretty full...and I'm too damn lazy to try to do anything about it... shrug

Australia is about "valid reason" to have swords. So if you have a home invasion, hi them with some other blunt object please wink

NSW is a bit different. They are much twitchier about weapons.

I remember at one stage bouncing off the median strip between Introductions and Social Discussion/Social Chat - your map doesn't show that either...

staves are unwieldly for close hallway-combat. Unless I had Donatello's staff...in all the video games I've seen him in, his went through walls.

I've been asked to spin for a program that the parks department is putting on. Now I have to figure out how much to charge. I normally spin for free.

I wouldn't begin to know how to charge for something like that...other than charging by the hour, or something...like you'd do for lessons, perhaps?

We have a program through the summer where they show movies in the park. The movie that they will be showing is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It has nothing to do with the new book that has been released.

They have something like that in Cary...but I won't tell you what we call that particular 'burb of Raleigh...it's not very nice...they're the type of people that will only allow the homeowners to have a certain amount of trees in their front yards and the flagpole can only be so high...and the flag only so big...and aaaarggggh...I hate pretentious a**holes...

I don't even think we have a proper drive-in, anymore...except for in Henderson...and I'm afraid to go anywhere near that place...risk getting shot the minute you cross the city limits...

I grew up going to the drive in. We had a station wagon, we would pull with the back to the screen and the tail gate down. We made a bed in the back and watched the movies until we fell asleep.
