Hey all! My names Aran and I'm just starting university in Cambridge next saturday, at Churchill College to study engineering (though I really either want to run away to the circus or start my own firespinning company ... i can dream!)

Would love to meet all you lovely cambridge spinners, have already made contact, you've been really helpful and friendly.

I spin staff (not bad) and have started down the road of contact, having burnt the last of my gap-year-earnt money on a nice contact staff from fire toys (hey its the last time i'm gonna be financially secure for what - 10 years? better make the most of it!).

People have told me that I've captained the Canterbury Fire Team but really I just called people together and mailed people to death into going to the beaches around Canterbury (my home town) for a good burn. Not captain though! I'm gonna miss the guys in Canterbury, but hopefully I'll return triumphant in Winter, having learnt lots to put on some really decent fire show.

Well thats all I've got to say on myself, except that I can't wait to spin with you guys (watch out I'm not that good - apologies in advance if my staff goes flying out of my hand into your shin! I don't mean it hug)

smile Thanks guys - I have some grand pans to start Capoiera, join the juggling society, camcricus, plus all the fancy dress and Nowhere2007 related stuff - I'll maybe cram in some engineering whilst I'm there, get a degree while I'm at it!

I'm hiding a long way from Brighton!

Its nothing personal though, I'd quite like being at the seaside right now actually...

Do let us know if the seaside attracts any spinners. Though with the weather at the moment, I wouldn't blame you for hiding ...
