Unfortunately, yes...and believe me, every day I'm still here is a misery...especially since it's been doing nothing but raining, almost constantly for the past few months...it'll get sunny for a day or two...then rain, again...pretty much fits my mood...

Hey Pogo! How's the bouncing going? OK maybe that wasn't such a good question. wink

I'm so sorry to hear that you guys are still seperated by an ocean and stupid government rules.

Bek, take the rain. I was snow bound for a week and a half over Christmas. At least with rain you're not stuck indoors.

Ye, that's pretty much what I was saying to Pat yesterday...the rain is a drag, but I'm glad it's not ice and snow...rain doesn't generally cause power lines and trees to snap, nor keep you from being able to travel the roads...altho, with my truck being dead, my traveling is few and far between, anyhow...ugh!

*giggle*...well, actually, we've had a few of those, too...and had some hellacious winds yesterday and hail right before dark...someone said that they heard it thunder a couple nights ago...and I imagine you know what thunder in the winter time indicates.

Is that really weather lore? I've never heard of that one, but it would make sence that it came from the famrer's almanac. It's been around forever.

We don't have to many thunderstorms in the valley so at least we don't have to worry about than one. I think I need to look at the LONG term forecast and see if we are suppose to have any more snow. We normally get now in the Jan/Feb time frame.

Mom says that she is going to buy me studed tires the next time it snows. She drives this little Honda with no clearence and I drive around in a four-wheel Jeep. I think she has more in mind that just my saftey. I just might be playing taxi.

Oooh, I wouldn't be able to stand that...I loves thunder storms...as long as they're not of the destructive variety...

Oooh...and ye, you should be able to find a long range forecast on the almanac site... Old Farmer's Almanac ...customise to your area and you'll be all set...

Eeeek...if I had to be shut up in a car with my mother too often, my head would explode...we, ummm...don't exactly see eye to eye...on anything...*giggle*

Let me tell you about it Bek. Portland had tripple digits for three days and until yesterday we had 10 straight days over 90. Now we have the opposite, today was a high of 68. High 70's through the weekend and low 80's starting on Thursday. Personally I like the cooler weather, it's one of the reason that I still don't live in Texas.

Yep...sounds about like here...we went from days in the upper 90's and trip-digits, to the lower 80's and raining. Pat has always said that NC is the only place he's ever heard of that can span all four seasons in the space of one day!!!
