I have seen some poi players in the park - whats the best way to get going? I couldn't find a 'getting started' thread - sorry if I'm duplicating!
Any tips and advice? Quick learn techniques?
Thanks in advance,
Pile

The best way to start is get a pair of socks (preferrably ones that you don't intent to wear again), put a tennis ball or similar in each and hey presto: poi!
There are a few videos on the site for some ideas on what to be aiming for, but I'd say, just get out there and have fun! (hll, you could always ask the people you see out and about to teach you some stuff, most spinners are friendly enough)
My state of mind is not yours to define!
There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
