Erm... Well thats about it I guess. Oh. I've had an intrest with poi for awhile now. I just started to learn it though and it's kinda hard learning without a teacher. So yeah... Now you know what level I'm on and where I stand.

!The videos forum is a great starting point. Doesn't beat having a personal someone to teach you, but it helps..

Know what you mean about tyring to learn things without a teacher... is really hard although the free lessons and vids section are very good and have helped loads. Other than that just spin and see what you come up with. once you get the hang of the poi, weight and how it spins you could find it al ittle easier to pick moves up. I'm not very techy and don't know names to loads of things i do
As long as you have fun thats the main thing
