Howdy, you crazy bunch!!!

Hellooooooooooooo guys! My name's jellyellie, I'm a 15 year old girl and I live in West Surrey. I got some poi about 2 years ago, spun them for a bit, put them down, now I'd like to pick them up again. I can do some of the basics; 3bt weave, butterfly, thread the needle and the like, but I'm definitely no expert. weavesmiley

Apart from poi I like: reading, writing, being outside, flying my power kite, ice skating, playing the guitar, listening to music (rock mostly but I have a very wide taste, e.g. Massive Attack, Prodigy, BB King, Santana, Pink Floyd, Kasabian, The KLF etc.) and doing other fun stuff.

I've been home educated for just over 18 months now, and it totally rocks. So much more freeeeeedom! I guess that makes me a student, but I'm aiming to get as few qualifications as possible, purely on principle. Wuhahahha. ubbloco

My plan for life is to run my own business somewhere with a good beach community like Cornwall, make a mint and love every minute of it. I'll have a house right on the beach and go windsurfing/sailing/kitesurfing every day.

I'm also writing a book about parenting teenagers which is going to be published early next year, so hopefully I can be some sort of author too - then I can live anywhere in the world (e.g. on a boat) and still earn money from writing. biggrin

My favourite food is a big, rare steak in a red wine sauce, with not-too-thick and not-too-thin chips. There's gotta be a big dollop of ketchup too, and a can of Dr Pepper beside it.

I like reading a lot of non-fiction books (e.g popular psychology, true crime) but my two favourite novels of all time are Battle Cry by Leon Uris and Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. As for films, my favourite has got to be Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. I loved the Hotel Babylon series on TV, Life on Mars was great, and Hustle just rocks. Man I wanna be a grifter biggrin
