Hello everyone here at the HOP!

My name is Jack but lots of people have recently started calling me Jesus, So I guess it applies, hey who ever really decides their own name!

I am 18, just about although you wouldn't ever think I was over 15 from my beard! (proper, no bumfluff!)

I am origionally from Greenwhich, South-East London but now I live in Lydney, Gloucester which is no were near as lively but has much more greenery, which is nice!

I am a sixth form colledge student but will be (hopefully) be going to university in September!!

I am also a receptionist in a vets witch is ultimatley amusing, especially when puppies arrive, bulldog puppies are wierd if you see one! there like, condensed versions, it's wierd in real life.

onto the good old spinny section,
Poi, Fire Poi (I see them as different, because they are), Staff.
Got some double head fire poi from the local circus workshop for £20, blowing even Ebay out of the water. Recently made some Burberry sock poi which are actually really good.

Hobbies
Computers - currently I am studying I.C.T. and trying to go into software engineering at University.I am also thinking about either making my own PC from scratch, or a cluster of many old PC's.

Music - I play electric bass, 4 and 5 strings. I really want to try upright bass aswell, but it's just so expensive. I play alot of different styles with my band, but currently we are trying something a bit more experimental, a bit more Floyd if you will.

Reading - I read lots or Terry Pratchett books, my Favourite must be Reaper Man, It's just amazingly funny!

The thing says plans for life, wow that is hard. well I never think to far ahead of myself, I plan to get dreadlocks in the near future, and go to Uni and get wasted!

Favourite Music - loads, and loads, and loads. I can listen to almost anything from Slpiknot through Prodigy right up to Mozart. pretty ecklectic really.

favourite ice cream flavour is apple! (or vanilla)

Jesus signing out.

P.S. sorry about making the thing about six feet long!

Hello Jack! Six foot long posts are good, otherwise the first eight replies in your intro thread will just be people asking you to please tell us a little more about yourself smile

I've brought you a rug to furnish you thread with, but I now realise it clashes with the wallpaper a little, sorry....

and I brought this, too:

Thanks!

Us Jesus' will soon take over, soon there shall be flocks of us, creating miracles and such.

Blasphemous girl, I do infact have a plan!
we need about 7 spinners (aproximately 7 anyway) (it's a nice number!)
And we need a regular place to meet, such as a park during the day, or somewhere concrete, and fairly lit during the night.
I have suggestions of places but it's the people that are the important part!

were are you anyway? I reckon from looking at your introduction thread your not too far away from me, you say deep in the forest do you mean somewhere like Cinderford, or near there? or right up to newent?

Oh, and have you tried fire poi properly yet?

we must find some locals!

well in spain at the mo but i´m usually in Coleford not far from lydney at all!

yep the more spinners we can find for a meet the better, would have to be evening or weekend for me as i´m at work all the week. if you check out the meet others type section you´ll find a gloucestershire thread by Mr C who is in ross.

i do have some fire poi but havent used them much mainly due to the winter factor. have prob used them about 5 times have numerious sets of glow poi and can usually be seen at a free party spinning away in the woods!

Where, and more importantly, when, are these free parties in the forest?

They sound like fantastic events.

Strangly, Coleford was the first place I thought of! don't know why though?!?

Anyway, Cheltnham town centre would be fantastic during the night, assuming we are not moved on by police, but we can play in the street if we get street performance licences. (what are free! I think?)

Although the best way to really get people in is too set a date and stick to it. possibly make it a fair sized event even! get in people from further to make the first meet memorable!

Right, got an idea!
lets actually have our own spinning/music/community party in a field or the forest!

Actually I am not quite sure about the viability or it all, but it sounds cool, nontheless.

Ok so party season hasn´t actually started yet once the warmer weather has started there will be one most weekends. usually techno, drum & bass, hard house that sort of thing.

as for a party of our very own again we´re gonna have to wait for some better weather.

was thinking more like a park or field type thing for a spinny meet as we´ll most likley get hassled or moved on in a town centre, also would not be very good for fire in a town centre with out licences, insurance and that sort of thing.
