Everybody keeps telling me not to panic but I'm bored not panicing.

We're all gonna die!!!

The UK government ordered 14 million doeses of an antiviral drug against avian flu... and strains are already resistant and passing between people.

I think I feel a scratch in the back of my throat.

Just saw a more rational explanation of what a worldwide flu pandemic would and wouldn't do on "Dateline NBC." Related to previous flu epidemics and the current healthcare system.

Pretty damn scary.

Interesting but scary.

I didn't realize it would take more than a year to run fully through the globe.

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.

Oh man! York University has GOT to be the worst place to be when Bird Flu arrives. Why? THE DUCKS!!! The thousands and millions of DUCKS and GEESE and any other fat bird that waddles, all living around the lake on campus!

The "authorities" say there's nothing to worry about but it's all a LIE!! What better way than to get rid of 10,000 annoying students in one go?!

Unhappily the 'deadly' H5N1 strain has been found in britain, having killed a couple of thousand turkeys at a suffolk farm. Now all 160,000 (if memory serves) are going to be culled.

Foot and mouth 2, what a clucking mess.

Yep just saw it on the news as well,

looks like our heighbours in the UK can anticipate another completely incompetent handling of the situation at hand.

just wait, instead of imediatley locking down and restricting movement of animals they'll c0ck it up again and it wil spread like wild fire,

a clucking mess indeed. frown

Oh please all this nonesense about birdflu is starting to really rub me up the wrong way. Its killed about 150 people world wide, normal flu has bumped more people off than this, and even if it does mutate into a human form, it would require you be in some contact with other bird/human flu sufferers. Just dont go near these people if it happens. Flu isnt even THAT contagiouse.
