unfortunately this is only true for me about other people's videos
but the PiP videos mean a fair bit to me, seeing as they were much of what I watched in my early spinning days, so I would love to see them up again!

I think I read pk posting somewhere over in the COL section that he was going to take down PIP because he wanted to try and make hop as good as he remebered without people constantly harrasing newbies by just posting one word replies

I have that vid somewhere too. I think this might be it? It's 8MB, and it'll be coming off my ADSL connection so only going at about 30k/s.. but you're welcome to get a copy if you're patient
Has anyone heard from Jo recently? There were rumours the development of those toys had been suspended indefinitely.. ?

That's an awesome video, but I know there's a video for the next prototype they had. Does anyone have that video? (They're spinning outside, not in a room).
Oh, and it's looking more and more like these won't ever get made, which saddens me... I just hope they, at the very least, release the schematics and programming, incase anyone wants to try their hand at making them.

I can't do that, unfortunately... but I am developing something similar. Some programmable poi that will give you any colour you can imagine, and sequences as long and varied as your imagination. What I've got doesn't have the two sections like the illuminati, but they do have light from the end of the poi to the handle. Also, you can do tangles with my 'HyperLights' - something that's impossible with just about every other set of glow poi I've seen (feel free to correct me!)
I'm hoping to price mine considerably cheaper than Aerotech's too. My poi are relatively 'green' though in that they only exist in qute fragile prototype form (I'm sure those of you who had a play with them at Falmouth would agree!).
Anyway, that's enough of what I'm up to - this thread was supposed to be about PiP.. and I for one hope that the Illuminati make it. They (and polarity's beasties) are the only things out there that could compete with my stuff IMHO

All to be announced. The website with more information is here... but I've not written it yet. I'm in the middle of moving to a new generation of the hardware (I've been through two prototype stages so far). If it works, I'd like to start selling them sometime in the next year or so. But that's pure conjecture - I've not idea how long it'll take to get them to the point I could mass-produce
