Ha. I started a 4 page discussion on this on Urban Freeflow (parkour forum). The story goes. A jaffa cake is most definately a cake. It was once tried to class it as a biscuit because more tax is paid on biscuits but the fact that it is made like a cake means it is a cake. also cakes go hard when the go stale where as biscuits go soft.

Did you know there's a jaffa cakes helpline if you think your addicted?

Could somebody stop the room please... I'd like to get off

wow you must be seriously desperate to be addicted to Jaffa Cakes.

cake goes hard when it goes off and biscuits go soft.
Jaffa Cakes go hard when they go off which therefore makes them a cake

I heard that this was a question posed during interviews down at Oxford and Cambridge.

... and I think it's a cake. Jaffa "Cake" gives it away a tad.

I was so annoyed when Tesco economy Jaffa Cakes went up from 40p to 50p, that I had to do a Splinter Cell style split jump just outside of the shop doors, and miming of sniping customers.

Nah, I would've done that anyway.
