Hi! Big fan of the HOP site and wanted to intro myself. I'm a newbie at poi, practiced at devil/flower stix, bellydancing, sword balancing, SCA goin' gal from Iowa. I'm in a dance troupe who want to figure out how to make alot of these toys ourselfs. We're about eight of us and have started to make fire fans for our group. Also, I'm a mom of 2 girls and have a blind mom that's learning poi as well. There's not many performers around here so I thought I'd try this. We're dying for info here and you guys are the best. I'll be looking for info on kevlar for fans, how to make flag poi,( made them way too big), How to's on the flaming sword and if it can be used in a balancing routine? I'll have a link to our group later and some pic's of us performing. Thanks for being here cause I;m tired and wary of searching the net for equipment that is tried and true!!!
