Im Rob,
I can usually be found bombing round manchester in my van tweaking sound systems and jukeboxes.
I've not long been poiing but Im learnin fast, been dabbling in staff too!

did you get your name from the new nitin sawhney album? even if you didnt im going to chat about it now anyway. i really like track 5 and 10. i like this album, but prefer human i think.
ps if you did get your name from there i like you even more as he has someone spinning fire poi on the sleeve.

Philtre is my (ahem) dj name. its taken from old english. It is "a potion that causes one to fall in love with another person, also called love potions, have been thought to be magical and used since antiquity. They were popular in the Middle Ages, but lost favor to charms and spells in the 17th and 18th centuries. Philtres are still produced in some folk-magic traditions"

Nitin Sawhney is marvelous. He combines dancy-jazz with indian music. Sounds a bit mad, but its very good. I prefer his up-beat tracks, im sure you could mix them into some of your own stuff for a spice of indian-esque culture.
