Posted: The council refused to take my bags of grass (the garden as opposed to the smoking cariety) away today! What the hell is the story with that. They are happy to take all the junk people throw away and god forbid they would set up a recycling service for bottles, cans and pet bottles.
I can't understand that given all the stuff they dump why they can't dispose of a couple of bags of grass. What exactly is one meant to DO in London when they have bags of grass clippings and the trimmings from bushes?
Advice please fellow London residents?

Posted: Will have to re-bag everything so that the grass is not showing or otherwise piss off my neighbours by building a big bonfire!
Not only did they not remove the grass, they did not take the other rubbish either so we will have smelly bin bags lying around till next week
Unless the Council goes on strike of course and then it will be 3 weeks
Daft, daft, daft! We pay the 5th highest council tax in London for the worst rubbish removal system I have seen and the streets here are dirtier than Delhi (I have not been to Calcutta to compare)
In honour of this silly system, here is a wee ditty.
Silly Rules
Londons full to bursting With fat-cats drafting bills All devised to increase The coffer of their tills
Silly Rules galore Useless drafts to fill the pockets of the capitalist whore whether politician or council
So leave my rubbish where it is I'll build myself a bonfire And throw on it my astronomical council bills And face the consequences dire
