Hi, I'm Katie, I'm 20 years old and I'm currently studying psychology at Cardiff uni. I'm not actually Welsh (not that there's anything wrong with being welsh!), I live at home in Dorset during uni holidays. I hate psychology and am hoping to change to English lit next year.
I have no idea what to say
I'm not very good with introductions!
I've been into poi for about eighteen months, although I've mostly taught myself and have periods of a few months when I'm really into it, then a few months when I'm not so into it, so I'm not exactly brilliant. I can do most of the basic stuff and some of the less interesting behind your back moves, but that's about it. I belong to a group of fire spinners at home, but obviously I'm not at home at the moment and I have yet to find a similar group here, except for the obligatory circus skills society at uni (who are very cool, but very small, and restricted to practising in the union during the day, so no fire poi allowed-so much better outside at night).
I've gotten lots of my friends and my boyfriend similarly addicted, but unfortunately they're all at home too! Gah.
I just wanted to say hi really

There doesn't seem to be too many spinners in South Wales so its always good to find another one
