One of my New Year's resolutions is to procrastinate less, and unfortunately to me that means less HoP. Since I don't think I can be selective and read/reply to very few posts (no self control, unfortunately), I'll try giving it a miss for a while. Note the "I'll try"... but I will try. shrug

Not that anyone reads my intro anyways, except for Ry ubblol But in case anyone's wondering why I've not been ranting in the socials for a while, this is why!

If you wanna keep in touch, send a pm, I'm not forbidding myself emails ubblol

hugs and see you all later.

And Ry, sorry! But hey, you know, once I finish my PhD I'll go to Australia and NZ for a big holiday, so the more I work the sooner you can meet me and Sunbird in person biggrin

Aw, i've not been posting as much for similar reasons altho i'm having trouble not talking on im all the time....

I've managed to be selective with HoP posts tho!

And taht selectiveity and not being on for days at a time has helped me cherish it even more, and even take a look back into intros...

hm. don't know where else to put it, but chances anyone reads it on here are small anyways, so I suppose it doesn't really matter.

I've been split up with last night in the nicest possible way, told to find someone I can be happier with. As you can probably guess, the being happier hasn't quite kicked in just yet. Any distractions are welcome.

Although it's been changed this morning into a "let's see how we feel after a while" I am doubtful. After all we'll still live together, eat out of the same fridge, use the same phone... how's anything going to work like that? frown Is it supposed to be like being together without the pressure, and if yes, why does there have to be pressure in the first place?

If someone thinks that they're not right for their partner, and they won't be able to change what they don't like about themselves and what they think is the problem, how is a pseudo-split-up going to fix anything? Ideas?

so... yay, birthday firespinning tonight, lots of cake, and off to London for a week tomorrow. Just what I need biggrin

It also seems that all problems with the experiment I have to complete by today in order to take the samples to London have been solved, like missing equipment, incomplete protocols and nasty power surges that disable access to the rooms I need (you would've thought that a 21st century science centre has a backup plan for after a power surge! But some doors can't be opened without swipes, and the info hasn't been backed up...). Though whoever freemason organisation is trying to prevent my experiment from working will probably read that and stop me on the way to the airport ubblol

So... it's Spitz and hopefully Clapham and definitely Camden for me this week biggrin Along with the mysterious 800 pounds that uni salaries have put onto my account (I never gave them the details, except one department for a job that's worth 360, not 800), this should be fun!

Mikey... it was ace indeed, most of the firepointers were there, and some red and air people and some random friendly (!) neds with tonnes of paraffin and spliffage and a cake-eating dog and some not-so-cake-eating dogs and someone tried using Indian butter on her sticks instead of paraffin but it didn't work. And we met a funny ned on the way back who was trying to give us some grief, then realised that all 4 of us were taller than him and had sticks and tried to turn the "conversation" to what we were doing with the sticks. A random little old lady on the street thought it was for going fishing wink

Cantus, I was told it was a cod... I don't like eating cod cause they're so overfished, but if it's not a cod I suppose I could've bought and fried the monster. Hmmmm... have to find out what it is then. But not now. Nearly in London.

And Mr. Sunbird, I go for flowers and chocolates, too, but yeah Penguins are higher on the list. hug

May I just have your attention for a moment or two...

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!! mad angry censored mad2 meditate

Having just been told that I "stomp around like an angry bear" not only most, but 99% of the time, that I give "stay away-vibes" to everyone, that I am so aggressive and filled with anger, maybe I should start consciously behaving like it?

Thinking about it, I'd rather not. At the same time, I'm apparently also "always hiding my emotions" and noone can see I'm not actually feeling okay. So how do the two go together? I don't know. I think I'll just stay who I am, and let people talk. I don't think I'm quite as bad really, am I.

If someone has more constructive advice on my personality to offer I shall welcome it.
