Do a search, theres a huge thread about it somewhere and also theres probably loads of videos in the videos section and on Spherculism if you can get it to load

i can do hyperloops across my body in the butterfly plane but i cant seem to get the poi to hyperloop on hte side planes, how does the moves differ?
I'm going to leave the army and run away to the circus
if not i will just become a MI5 agent !!!

By the side plane do you mean hyperlooping from a weave? or from a butterfly in the side/wall plane?

hyperloops just take alot of practice, you will look like your messing up by tangling them, but its just a controlled tangle. Theyre just like that. I hope your also using socks.

Hyperloops are really rather frustrating to learn, but nigh on impossible if you're not using sock poi.
Having got yourself a pair of those, a few things that I found while learning them:-
Alignment and timing are absolutely critical - I'd say more so than in almost any other poi move, because if either of these two are out, the poi will twist repeatedly, rather than untangling. Make sure your strings feel like they're exactly in split time, and concentrate on getting the planes lines up really well.
Start off by just trying to learn how to tangle the strings, without expecting to get them to untangle on the other side. I've often found that learning a complicated move is best done one stage at a time. Get them to cross nearer the handles rather than the heads - that will give you more time to manoeuvre them.
Learn them in the wall plane first.
Once you've successfully tangled the "strings", the next part of the move is obviously bringing them across your body. At this stage, you hands have to be one above the other and stay the same distance apart (or move slightly further apart) otherwise you lose tension and it won't work. Getting the timing right on this - i.e. when to bring your hands across your body - is critical. Go to early and you won't tangle them properly, but leave it too late and they'll knot up.
Persevere. This move took me 3 days to learn properly (i.e. forwards and backwards and from each side) but it's worth it in the end.

i disagree, in my opinion socks dont really make hyperloops any easier, possibly a bit less frustrating because its easy to untangle socks when it all gose wrong.

I meant to learn them. Once you've got 'em cracked they're not so hard with "comet" poi.

i think the hyperloop is easier with comet poi. it's the airwraps that is hell
but i'm also afraid that i'm misktaking on the names on the moves.... but i think i don't

comet poi the ones with tails? if so then (in my experience) you gotta give them a good bit of whack into the hyperloop or else they slow down to much and it gets messy cos the tails fall out of the sky.

Butterfly hyperloops are easier with comet poi - I think because the poi are going in the opposite directions and there's a greater relative velocity.
