I just went and checked one of them out... the one of the drawing of the piece of toast... $0.49 US... right..

But the other one... US $105.00 seriously... why would you want to buy a piece of toast with Mary's face in it... they could probably carve it in there themselves....

Anyone will sell/buy anything on e-bay these days.

Oh, and I too call myself Christian, but I dont go around trying to find Gods face in toast.

The 'real one' sold for a lot more than $105! See here for proof

Like she said in the description

I would like to point out there is no mold or disingration, The item has not been preserved or anything, It has been keep in a plastic case, not a special one that seals out air or potiental mold or bacteria, it is like a miracle, It has just preserved itself which in itself I consider a miracle

rolleyes

Thats what she said, but i reckon either she didnt have it as long as she said she had it, or she put it in a air tight container and is lieing, or it is a miracl... or it isnt toast, put a piece of plastic or something. But why would anyone pay money for that? It makes me feel dirty just looking at it.

what i dont understand, why do they think its the virgin mary, ok a face 'appears' in a piece of toast, so hmm how many women have their been in the world? but obviously u know a slightly female looking face in a piece of toast, suddenly it has to be virgin mary! im sure she'd be brilliant with some peanut butter though biggrin

my big question with this thing is, how did the seller keep the grilled cheese sandwich from molding FOR 10 YEARS?

i have a piece of bread at home that's 14 years old, and another one that's about 12.

*waits patiently for Fryed Fish to pick himself up off the floor*

i'm deadly serious.

i moved out of my folks house about 14 years ago. whilst unpacking in my new place i stumbled across a little package hidden between my clothes. it had been put there by my mam.

it contained: a small bag of salt
a lump of coal
and a chunk of white bread

it's an ancient irish good luck charm given to people moving into a new home

bread = may you never be hungry
coal = may your home always be warm
and the salt is may you never want for anything... i think....

a while later i moved to holland, and my mam, assuming i had thrown the first one away had place yet another little package of bread, salt & coal in my luggage.

i still have both

and the bread is still white. rock hard, but not a trace of mould...

peace

My mind not only wanders, it sometimes leaves completely smile

I just printed out a picture of jesus in a fish stick (revealed today), which might get printed in the paper tomorrow... lol

Caption:
Fred Whan, of Kingston, Ont., shows off a fishstick he cooked a year ago that he claimes shows the likeness of Jesus Christ. He kept the fish stick in his freezer until Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2004 when he heard about a Florida woman who had a grilled cheese sandwich with the likeness of the Virgin Mary. Maybe God isn't as powerful as we think and the only mircles he can manage are dodgy pictures on perserved bread products. Or maybe where they said God was "unfathomable" they actually He was "just plain weird" and He really is the kind of person that gets his kicks drawing women on toast and making bagels shaped like Mother Terisawhateverhernamewas.
