yep, pretty soon we'll all be running around breaking bricks(?) scoffing mushrooms (gaining super giant size) and flowers and throwing fireballs and nasty mutant plants.

Ice cream type : god it could be brokoli and turnip flavor as long as there is a thick helping of the nuti-stuff on it.

I'm one of those people who completely mess up Marmite's Love it or Hate it advertising campaign - I'm indifferent.

I'll eat it if I'm suddenly inspired to, but I'd be quite happy never eating Marmite again.

Oh, and just being picky, Marmite's made from yeast, which is a fungus, not a vegetable .
All the more reason not to eat it if you ask me

Nutella, I absolutely adore, but I can't eat it often, I'm on a continual diet type thing until I lose some weight.
I reckon that, like most really tasty fat filled spreads, it's best on toast, but I'll quite happily eat it on anything. I've been known to eat loads of the stuff straight from the jar, without using a spoon or any other eating impliments

God help us if the world starts getting more like computer games, I'd hate to be stuck in a tetris world.

But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

Dark Fairy Queen, you don't really want us Marmite lovers to kiss your **** do you? MArmite smears make for a veru unhygenic looking backside...

BovrilMonkey...Yeast isn't a fungus either...But as a bovril drinker I can forgive you for your mistake. It's one of those wierd little thingees that doesn't really fit into any category. Most of the general population tend to accept it as a plant, but that is debated by the majority of scientists.

It is a single cell organism, whatever it is, and provides a large amount of joy to MArmite consumers and discomfort to um....er...a reasonable portion of the fairer s*x (oops, i mean icecream!)....

*blush* Now, this look like the point where i stop talking before digging a big giant hole for myself..

Yay Marmite!!! Um...boo yeast, if it's not in bread or marmite...boo I say, BOOOOOOO

oops...my bad!

ok...so it seems to be a fungus on all the few sites I have gone to. But I remember having an arguement with my biology teacher at shcool and he told me it wasn't a plant fungus or animal...

Damn teachers, think they know everything...

Well, I figured that a masters degree in molecular biology was good for something. I just had no idea what.

I just got my answer. Gosh, that was a lot of time and money committed to that little factoid...

Well, you learn something new everyday. However, knowing that marmite is infact a fungus doesn't make me love it any less. Through the years it has made my bread and toast even more interesing and for that, I could never hate it.
Now for a new voting...green jelly babies or pink jelly babies...it's up to you!

I do not like fungus. In bread, it's dead. I don't like mushrooms (except ONE species...and that's certainly not for flavor). I don't like beer much, although I do like wine.

Fungi just wig me out. Any kingdom that can make psilocybin AND beer (two things that are supposed to be toxic to animals) has my solid respect.

Pink Jelly Babies definately rule over Green but I think black are definately the best

As for mushrooms I really *HATE* them that slimy slippery texture and horrible taste EWWWWW

(the effect other varieties are very appreciable though Mike : try going to Amsterdam and I am sure you will find more than one variety that will take your fancy )

but i can't be arsed to look it up so unless some biologist happens to walk into the room i guess we'll never know.

Spike I think it's drooling although I'm not sure.

Marmite=Good (Toast & Butter)
Nutella=Great (Anything)
Jelly Babies=Utterly foul, should be wiped off the face of the earth.

The only good Gummi sweets are the German Haribo Gummi Bears, not the crappy UK ones, too soft, gummi should be chewy and tough.

And yes Yeast is a fungus, think fungal infections of sensitive body parts (actually don't think about it, yuck).
