Posted: Ok, I am going to Santa Cruz tonight. My friend says that bonfires are legal on the beach and that people (amateurs) are going to be setting off firecrackers and stuff. The beach, I believe, is called "Twin Lakes Beach."
Does anyone on this board know if spinning fire is illegal on the beach? My friend said that last year he didn't see any fire spinners, but I have a real problem believing that I'll be the only spinner in Santa Cruz this evening. So I'm wondering if there's a reason.
Help?

Posted: If I were you I'd probobly just walk the beach and look for circles of fire. Where there is one there are bound to be more, and if worse comes to worse you can always pack your gear down to the boardwalk and ask a cop. There are usually three or four there on a normal day, I'm shure they'll be out in force tonight. And if nothing else you can walk out on the peir and get some bad ass fried squid and clam strips and watch the sea lions. Or pirate a section of private beach:)
