You too Wilfred, enjoy your holliday. Take a moment to remember what exactly your celebrating, and what price was paid for that freedome.

Ya know that makes me wonder C@ntus, what to the English think of Mel Gibson?? I mean in two of his most recent movies he pretty much kicked yalls ass!! I know the Ausies love him, he is from Astrailia and all but how do the English like him???

Mel Gibson is a great actor but I think that it's pretty disgraceful that somewhere in the US they created a statue of William Wallace (Braveheart) and actually sculptured it on the image of Gibson rather than Wallace! That's not his fault though, but being half Scottish it winds me up.

Oh, happy independence day by the way...

William Wallace gives school teachers the world over something to aspire to.

Personally I quite like Mel Gibson. Can't speak for everyone else here though.

In Braveheart I side with the Irish and they side with the scots. So my anglesism doesn't come into it. What's the other film you're referring to?

At the end of the day he's an actor playing a role. It doesn't mean that's where he loyalties lie. Sean Connery played a russian submarine captain trying to defect. It doesn't make him russian. It's just acting.

ChristopherLee plays an errant Jedi but I still think he's a wonderful actor even if he was corrupted by the dark side (damn that Sith Lord).

If people stayed true to themselves rather than take a role then the media and theatre would be a profoundly flat and boring place.
Do you not think?

Plus Mel Gibson played Brett Maverick. Who *looks smug* is nearly as fast as me at quick draw
