I'm having surgery Friday (Sept 24). The other night I dreamed that they put me under the anesthesia, but all it did was make me unable to move or respond in any way, while I remained fully conscious and pain-sensitive.

This is so classic I'm almost embarrassed by it. But it was really scary.

Also the fact that they started cutting me with some beak-bladed tin snips that I saw at the hardware store the day before IRL.

That's it really. Anybody else?

hug Good luck with the Surgery. It's natural to be apprehensive. Don't be embarrassed to be human. I'm so scared of going to the dentist (yes I'm scared witless of dentists) I've often put off my check ups or stand waiting outside the dentists door sweating, hyper-ventilating and thinking of excuses not to go in.

yea its normal trust me, my wife goes in for surgery 9-22, and im apprehensive about it..........man its like surgery month or something......well best of luck to you, and best wishes for a fast recovery hug

You can't avoid pain by fencing yourself from it.
Some times you need the help of others more than anything else
But you have to let them close enough to help......
People want to be needed, I found that out too

And the same to your wife, and bright blessings to you as well. Thanks.

And thanks for the Good Luck, Skul...I'm only embarrassed to be human when I realize that George Bush is one!

Alas, yes. Humans have quite a range. Dubya isn't even the bottom, sad to tell.
