Hello wave

Name: Molly (or Caro in a different world)

Age: 24, but it's my silver jubilee soon smile

Location: Lovely Edinburgh, oh it says that over there... But born and bred a Londoner.

Occupation: PhD student (entymology and bacteriology - ie. mash flies and see what's going on in their bellies. mmmm.) Oh, and part-time Queen.

Toys: BLUEBELL the most gorgeous blue blue tech ubblove Tulip my beautiful contact stick, poi and a sadly neglected devilstick. I think it had angel sticks with it somewhere (firey handsticks as well as a firey devilstick) but haven't played with them for so long.... and of course, young molly mole, who aspires to great juggling prowess, but is hampered by the shortness of her paws and the complete absence of the ability to hold anything with just one paw. She is the little furry blur that is my avatar, in her christmas incarnation as the mole of war.

Hobbies: Beltane Fire Society, the slack hippy calendar of my life. Dancing, most especially swing. contact girl is the way forward, if only I could get round the friction burns. Gardening, herbs and vegetables mostly. There's only so much you can do with a daffodil. Sewing stuff, costumery especially. Camping, brewing, jam and CAKE ubblove

Favourite colour (before anyone asks... you know who you are):

blue but yes pink is fine and dandy, it even tried to take over my world for a week in August when my little niece was born smile

um, that'll do I think...

oh one more thing,

I had the immense pleasure of meeting quite a few HoP-folk round and about this summer and if they are anything to go by, you are all beautiful lovely people hug

what a fabby place ubblove

now, tea and cake all round and cushions aplenty

it was lovely to see you and your beautiful princess Mr Cole smile

We saw some amazing puppetry at Cabaret Vaudeville last night - they were two blokeys (Cabaret Decadanse I think) with big puppets dancing and miming along to silly songs (and even doing a striptease and trying to seduce one of the puppeteers!)

We're going to take the mole to see the whole show if NYC gets tickets, but only if she promises to behave. And the squirrel has to stay at home cos he's too squeaky.

Wow, I didn't know you'd got so into hooping Moll! When did this start? Was is from Brizzle last year?.... that reminds me - have you learnt to handstand properly yet?! wink

I'm going to miss you at Bristol this year frown There'll be no Mike either frown ... but I hear there will still be a tepooka contingency there.... and worms. Well the more the merrier smile

Munchen is Saturday week eek Must make a poster.

I completely missed the hooping at brizzle - I'd even forgotten about it!

I got given a hoop by the lovely rbmnyc when I went to New York last christmas ubblove and have been practising hard ever since. So hard in fact that I find it necessary to be the right way up as much as possible (that's an ashamed no to the handstands then).

Now... I wonder if I can take a hoop with me on the sleeper train umm

Still no hoopy mole. That obviously wasn't my cache then. :hrm:

Molly, hun, all you have to do is teach me lots of new moves and be as gorgeous as you usually are. Dressing up is optional. I think you would look good as an easter bunny though. You have the right kind of cute face biggrin

I may have found something super fabby for you today but if I tell you it will spoil the suprise if I can get it biggrin So I'm saying nothing tongue

I'm not a mole!!! I'm a pufferfish!!! (blxxdy biologists, can't tell their mammals from their chondroichthys)

(I hopy that little Puffy actually is a chondroichthys and not an osteichthys)

And doop, while I feel flattered by the fact that you think I could star in one of those dodgy movies (and I've asked questions about them when doing our uni pub quiz so I know what you're talking about...), I didn't star (or extra) in any of them. I was interviewed for some Scottish show about people's opinions on things like underwear, dancing, dog poo, pigeons and what makes me angry and happy. The girl quite liked the idea of firespinning making people happy. Probably half of the people who saw it think I might set things on fire now... yay smile

You do set things on fire.

And how does being interviewed about poo and dancing have anything to do with being cut in half which molly wasn't since she is happily curled up in bed with the marmotte at home?

1. I'm NOT a biologist. I'm a toxicologist. That's all about dangerous toxic stuff and is much more fun wink I'm also a biochemist, but since at my uni we were a subject on our own and envied/hated by biologist, chemists, pharmacists and medics, I can't be called a biologist wink

2. it's got to do with ado's post about being on tv, not with Molly!

3. I also can't see my cells today. I have new things to grow them in and they are so fuzzy that my cells become invisible frown

4. I am very confused. The numbers don't really help.

I toyed with the idea of becoming an entomologist when I was younger, but I realised very fast that everyone hates entomologists and I didn't think I could stand the animosity.

Hello hello!

I like this thread, it's always bonkers and funny.

hug for boyless Molly. Come round and help me make more mead!

We racked many things on Sunday. Broad bean wine looks less like pond water which is good. But I didn't get to go to the safari park.

Skully - why does everyone hate entymologists so? They are ever so useful. They can tell you when you have ants... um... where they shouldn't be. And they know the truth about garibaldi biscuits. Oh yes.

Doop I have a lovely joke to tell you about a cow. But it has to be done in person. Actually it has to be done by NYC cos he's very funny and moos better than I do. But I'm going to a place with a river called moosach so it all works out smile
