Does anyone know how to do dream analysis?

I am curious because both my boyfriend and I last night had the most vivid dreams (and after speaking about them together we found that they were also very similar) and I would like to know what they meant.

Also like to know what is the strangest, most vivid dream you have ever had.

medusa, i do alittle bit, i have a few books, so at the very least i could look it up for you, im better if i know the person im analyzing, but ill give it a shot

the worst/ most vivid dream i ever had was this realy disgusting mass murder thing(i wasent the murderer, but i witnessed it all), and people were just bleeding to death everywhere, awfull dream, took me about a week to get over it, to me thats much more scarey than watching a horror movie because i know this came out of my mind, shudder
(dont think im nuts or anything though, its the only one ive ever had like that)

Medusa, if you want to PM me the dream ill do what i can, but i cant make any promises, by the way, the fact that you both had similar dreams is signifigant

peace

I did do a search....I read what the others were and mine though similar was not the same question....I didn't want to get told off for hijacking someone's thread so I started a new one.

the most vivid dream i ever had was one where i was drowning. it freaked me out terribly and even now it still freaks me out slightly. i was swimming in the river and the reeds grabbed me and pulled me down and i was under the water all disorientated and i'd swim to what i thought was the surface, but it wasnt and i didnt know if i was swimming deeper or anything! it was SO scary!

i would have changed ***** to phallus, and claire to petey Petey

Had a very vivid dream I was at V festival. I'd just turned up without a tent or anything only wanting to spend the day there but then realised I'd just spent over £100 on a day ticket so decided to sleep rough. Went to go and see snow patrol on what must of been the smallest stage in the world.

I then had another dream that I was on a desert Island with my dad (who I've not seen for ages) and my ex girlfriend.

I have some odd dreams. confused

Lastnight for the first time ever I had the dream where you think you've waken up, but you're still dreaming. Only I thought I'd slept a whole day, and missed work. Wiggity-whack, yo.

I've been having some well weird dreams lately, and having discussed it with my mum she reckons it's all to do with my current situation, so the dreams must relate to some experience that both you and your boyfriend are going through? It might be best to find someone to talk to, I've tried understanding my dreams from books but they usually explain only little bits and details, which i can never really remember clearly...

Two of my weirdest dreams though:

1/ Woke up in the morning, got dressed, had breakfast, walked to school... it was so vivid, that when i woke up I got really confused by having to re-do the whole thing again...

2/ it was like a TV screen view, only you couldn't look anywhere else, the TV screen took up my whole mind, and all there was on it was the bottom half of an ice skaters leg doing one of those spin things - it kept drilling down into the ice, and it was continuous. This is actually about the scariest nightmare I've ever had because it just kept going!! and I've had it twice, lord knows what that meant.....

3/ *lol* and there was also the one with Terence Conran in a can-can dress and mile wide manta rays in norwegian fjords, but we won't go into that....

i always have very vivid dreams which is annoying cause makes me feel like i dont actully sleep, worst was a slow motion dream which for the space of about 3 mins it went on for about 5 hours. It was me slashing someones face of just going completly crazy. was horrible, i think i was having a hard time at that point though. Another horiible dream was dreaming my friends dad died then waking up to find he actully had died.

i have always been intrested in dreams and i have read alot about interpreting them, thee are a few differnt types of ways but most of them are pretty personal to u so u usually have to do types of tests yourself. The best one and maybe most accurate for me is this form i always forgett the name, but its to do with starts and numbers and enterpreting it through your own self concious.it works pretty well.

I hate the dreams where I'm being chased, but can't shout and can't turn around to look at whats chasing me. For some reason one of the dreams I had like that I was Sonic the hedgehog, very very bizarre.

I took my harp ta party, but no body asked me to play, so I took harp home again

i get all sorts of vivid dreams ranging from quite scary through nice and comfy to completely bizzare with lots of strangeness in between. ubbloco usual happens when i have a lie in (i.e. go back to sleep) + depends on wether you're tired or intoxicated or not. they usually all blend into each other during the night. recently i've woken up twice in a row to vampire related dreams... eek at the end of the day the only person who can interpret your dreams is yourself so if you apply some basic semiotics (study of signs) to them you can usually link stuff in with things that have happened or you have thought about in waking life... smile
