Don't think too much on skill, Johnny boy, cus the great thing about the Circles of Light videos is that aside from having a good perv at twirlin' chix, you get to see alotta different twirling styles man! not just tricks!

I remember when there was this cool guy on the board who always made people smile and had such Monty-Python type spin on everythread that it made the whole world just a better place...

Sometimes he's still around, but there seems to be less msiles than there used to be

Wish I could find some way to bring him back...

There's only 5 from Canada on it (looking at back of video).
Hmmmm...curious...for all the people on here from England, only one is on the tape. Is there a shortage of video cameras in England just as there is here in WNY?

well, i not sure who you are, but i just got my beaming poi and my fire poi in yesterday, along with COL2 man there are some really great spinneres on there...

cassandra~~i know your with NYC and stuff but if that for some odd reason dosent work out, please call me!! *blushes* your a great spinner!!

sage~~same goes out to you...i just saw the video last night and i was amazed by your fire spinning ability!!! you were kickin ars..btw you live in austin and imthe dfw area...lol...maybe we could hook up sometime..

Yeah but Jedi White's name is listed as John Smith. I thought it was some degree of cunning - it was 5 am for christ's sake.

And yeah I spotted the sig thing. It's like if you go back and visit your old posts the number (of your posts) goes up.

Only sometimes it doesn't. Meaning you can sneak up on it sometimes

ARSN...Not quite sure who you are talking about re the "guy i know", unless you have information I'm not privy to and so don't recognise.

As for actually getting off my *ss and getting video's shot, it takes a lot less organisation than people think, despite the fact that it took me 3 weeks to even get a practice session taped!

I'll bet better in a few months when I'll have a wife to chase me around and make sure I do things... (plus a few other advantages)

Xtremeraver, sage does not post on hoP, but you should definitely hook up with the Austin spinners / Houston spinners cause they *really* seem amazing to me. I think they meet on tuesdays.

Glass, I think you should do an entry of contact juggling (what do you mean "wrong website" ? ) heck, your contact juggling skills are one of the reasons I am coming to London in May and by the way you got me all worried for a while, I started wondering if I was John Smith .... But I think I am not ...

Cantus ... same goes for you and your staff skills ... but then again... COL videos, though I *really* like them , are just "one" of many ways to get inpiration and express oneself

cass you've got a lot of time spare today, either that or some work your avoiding doing, like me
but I wont enter COL because its a cometition. The only person I compete with is myself, sometimes I win, sometimes I lose, sometimes we come out about equal. My toys are for playing, its just the way I do.

(hang on no this isn't right, i've got to do it in the style of a cocky little glowstick raver, ok here goes:
Yeah, cos me and my CREW aint gonna enter cos we know we is the BEST, and we BUST all your newbie little ass's any day. I can even do a 2-beat-weeve-forwards-infront-of-my-back-with-only-1-poi. fur real. word.)
Riiight..
Anyway...

So you wont be seeing through much glass in COL3, no poi, no contact staff, no flags and despite the request from the lovely frenchie, no 1 ball. (crickey, if part the reason you coming to london is to see my contact, I better start practicing, big time, that ball only seems to work when I'm cained. Sure you wouldn't settle for seeing my poi or staff, But if its ball contact, your looking for we'll find a way for you to meet some of the contact gods who are floating around london when you come.)

But, saying all that. I liked COL, and I think its a bloody good thing, I like the way that it shows diffent styles, variations and idea from all around.

Cass I really enjoyed your COL2 video, I rate it in my top 3 on the tape. (i'm not telling you where, you're ankles might swell up and your shoes not fit). Some lovely little varitions and groovy dancing. (what is it that makes frenchies such good poi dancers, My two favorite poi dancers are both french.)

My 4th place, and probably the most fun to watch is the burning sock crew, just cos they looked like they had a lot of fun making it. Plus some great shots (blue sunset ) well put together and nice to see such variety. groovy.

Still my favorite poi video, is the download one by nick, the thai-chi dude. called nickwithfire (cant remember the URL at the mo). I'm into real slow poi, and this one has got control nick if your still around, respect.
Nice tune too.

Theres a gang of us planning to put a little short film together this summer. and post it as a download. Dom doesn't know yet, but will probably ask him to web host it;)
