Hey There I've been browsing this site for about half a year now and have finally decided to become a member I've been spinning for a little over a year and really came along since i found this site I consider myself to be an okay spinner I mainly glowstick but i would like to light up sometime and try spinning fire if i can only find someone with experience to help me out
Also I would like to say I'm an 18 y/o male from upsate New York, USA. I enjoy listening to alot of Jam band music (the Dead,Phish, moe., Particle, and such....), trance and techno music and alot of the rock from the 60's and 70's. I like to spin to all of this music. Well thats about it

. (thats really a first for me too. hay! i made it before pounce or narr!) i havent been and Hop member for long yet. bout a month. and iv only had my fire poi for about 2 mounths but i love em

Hi - welcome. Same story - sort of floated around since last summer - but just jumped up and introduced myself a few days ago. How far upstate are you? There's a bit of a fire spinning community here in NYC - you should come down sometime and check it out. Let me know if you're interested, and I can send you some info.

Well my measely forgotten intro thread shall be used again.
I posted a whole bunch fo pics last night taken by my friend whos a professional photographer.
New news for my poi life is I just got back from doing a demonstration/presentation at Plattsburgh State University and a week of fun. Then at the beginning of march I head to Cincinatti to attend a gathering of a whole hell of a lot of ohio burners. It's gonna kick ass.

I just got home from the best weekend of poi performances I have ever had! My fire trio performed to Sphongle live in front of over 1,000 people at Camp Bisco V. It was our best performance to date and we have been invited to come back next year.
I'm still shocked that this past weekend even happened! I never thought I would even see Sphongle live let aloe spin fire in fornt of a huge audience to them. I can't think of a better way to end the Summer Festival Season. Now it's time to get back to practicing and start sorting out all the new ideas we have for next summers tour!
