Ah, I remember the Ninjutsu days. wink It was fun at the time. Got sick of the politics. Did you train Bujinkan, Genbukan or Jinenkan?

Haven't been in Canada since February. Don't think I'll be back anytime soon. Closest I'll get is Chicago in October.

Just recently went to Auckland to get to train in Taiaha with Paora Sharples. The Maori have a true martial spirit!

Bujinkan, always, altho some sensei's are MUCH MUCH better than others. Hence the rhode island thing.

I'll be in chicago in october too. ^_^ Altho as I'm only four hours away from it in the first place its not such a big jump.... Loads of relatives there, but also a good friend, who turns 21.... there is to be much partying.

Keep your dream alive

What is psychology?- Looking for a black cat in a dark room. What is psychoanalysis? Psychoanalysis is looking for a black cat in a dark room -- in which there is no cat -- but finding one anyway.

right clicky, view image?

Otherwise I'll describe it for you:

Those familiar little white lines slide up and down the sides of the picture "Ponging" the little white dot back and forth against a black background.
Suddenly one little white line misses the dot!

A lightbulb in the centre of the picture flicks on revealing that we are in fact in a little purple patchwork-walled room. Two meercats stand on tiptoe on either side of the room with little white rectangles fastened to their heads with chin straps. The one on the left turns to stare accusingly...

dun dun dahhhhhhhh!

good stuff, eh?

Hey Elanna. How's your sword coming along? Lately I've been working on English broadsword.

Mand: Meet any nice Grizzlies yet? I've heard that they like English Sweets! wink Give Kim a hug for me, please. smile

The sword is not coming along. In fact, neither is my karate. There are no schools down here so when I start taking classes again, I have to go back to Tae Kwon Do. I did get myself a spiffy new sword, though. The balance is horrid, but it looks nice. ^__^ Very good for costumes and such. =P

**sighs** Lucky you... I wanna learn to use an English broadsword. Heck, I'd be happy if I just *had* one... =(

Hope you have a fun week!

Patrick- naah, haven't come across any grizzlies yet, despite our best attempts to lure them into our apartment. I've heard they're very warm and cosy to cuddle up next to in the winter- and big enough for me and Kim to have a side each. biggrin

No, no kayaking or canoeing yet- we've had way too much to do. I'm still trying to find out about any canoe/ kayak clubs in the area, people to paddle with, and guide books to the rivers.
I also really want my own paddles here before I go out kayaking.

As for the grizzlies- they did almost have a couple of people for lunch up in Banff a week and a bit ago. The same weekend we were up there, there was a female hiker got mauled on the Sunday, and a male hiker got mauled on the Monday. Both people had walked round a corner and surprised a mother grizzly with her cubs.
NOT really a good situation to be in! eek

Yeah, I have a whole rubbermaid container full my kit from working in Wales. Yes, I know... Wales is (usually) just a teeensy bit warmer than Canada in the winter! But when you spend 10 hours a day working outside in driving welsh rain, you tend to purchase some pretty decent kit.
I have mountains of thermals, fleeces, sallopettes, jackets, hats, gloves... the list goes on. I think I'll be wearing them all at once when it hits winter here! biggrin
