Okay, I guess since I spend so much time here, I ought to babble about meself.

Name: I go by Kyri- well- in some places anyway tongue

Locations: As of Oct 5th, York, UK. Currently, Brooklyn, NY, USA. Previously: Okemos, MI, USA. Before that, Parque Miramar (its right outside montevideo), Uruguay. (all previous are US) before that, Santa Cruz, CA. Before that CT. Before that, MI. I was born in TX, also lived in Germany tho I don't remember it. Definet plans to travel in the future. no plans to learn how to spell.

Toys: Poi, Staff. 4ft staff. Just discovered fake sock poi (Drew made me a custom pair, so lovely!). Doubles, some play with fans, not much. I don't spin enough, really. And Hoop! Hoop is fun. But I suck.

Other intrests (by catagory now b/c there are too many)

:

physical: Eventing, Horse Training/Riding for pleasure, archery, pistol shooting, hiking, camping, kayaking, ninjitsu, alexander technique, feldenkrais, lacrosse, floor hockey, football(soccer), karting, parkour, crossfit, ice hockey(to watch), dancing (western ballroom, swing, argetine tango), rock climbing (sort of, I do it, its fun, I'm not to stress over it), xc skiing

Cultural?: beer, cocktails, vodkas, wine (particuarly white), reading (particuarly sci-fi and scientific papers... not meant to be compared like that! :/), strategy board games (go, catan, puerto rico, etc), card games/board games, darts

Intellectual: programming (currently learning lisp, only proficient in C), compilers, game theory, natural language processing, computational models, AI (machine learning), formal syntax, making semantics into a science, pragmatics, formal logic, philosophy of mind, psychology & sociology (particuarly of abuse), family and sexuality through history, ancient history of mesopotamia (particuarly babylonian), theology (most expirience in christian church histories and the current jewish religion), genetics (particuarly at the moment mc1r variations and their effects), molecular bilogy, immuniology, pharmacology, chemistry, algebra (the real stuff).

Languages: (japanese, modern hebrew, portuguese, czech, asl, bsl, minor intrest in german and spanish for communication). I can speak a little japanese and asl, less modern hebrew, and nothing to speak of for the others except maybe a little spanish. I would love for anyone to help me out in my wanting to learn these languages.

Artistic: Harp, drawing (typically chalks), watercolours, still some writing and scrapbooking, altho not as much.

Favourite books: Ender's Game, The Dosadi Experiment, The Dispossesed, The City and The Stars. Uplift War series is pretty cool. Xenocide is very quotable tho!

Favourite Films: Cube, American Beauty, Silence of the Lambs, Bladerunner. Also good: American History X, Waking Life. There's another one or two i just cannot think of.

Anime Series: Lain.

Favourite tv shows: QAF. I own the second season on DVD, I've watched the first three. People keep telling me to check out desperate housewives, but I don't tend to watch tv.

Music: I like something from everything. Favourite band is the Ducky Boys, a punk band local to Boston. Protocol, the british synth-pop group, is a close second. Electronica in some form or another is the best music for most things tho. I'd say the majority of my music winds up being some form of punk rock, trance, or pop. My favourite songs are usually all too sappy tho, and depressing, Sarah McLachalan or the like.

Family: Cantus my big brother tells me I am also related to Spiral, Cass, Durbs, Dibs, and Katinca. (and lolli) So d'ere all family to me, cause i'm like that. *hugs for all*

Altho to this day I've only met Durbs and Cantus! My biological family and I are on mixed terms, (and they've really multiplied since I wrote this!). My "extended" family includes my ex Tristan, his parents, and my ex Davids parents and step-mom and brothers. A couple of my friends ought to vaguely count as well, really....

Current crush: None, really. I have a quasi-relationship with an intern here, and oh by-the-way the blond intern on scrubs is HOT.

Pets: I wish. But there are good things about not having any.

Good quote from recently (and by that I mean a long time ago): "Just because I have ulterior motives doesn't mean I'm not right"

I talk too much, huh?

And finally, feel free to contact me to talk about whatever! I'm a social bug, and I love being able to converse about the most random things....

aw... hug

I just need to get better at distracting myself when outside isn't an option.

And then never ever live somewhere where outside isn't an option again.

And stuff. You know its only 5.5 more weeks before I leave this country?
