Name: Pele (based on the Volcano Goddess not the soccer player)

B-Date: Oct 16, 1973, you figure out the age wink

Been doing this stuff: Many years

What do I do?: It all, just not well smile

Job: Performer, Event Organizer, Writer, Director, Performance Consultant, Henna Artist...not in that order

Location: Webster, Western New York State

Other: Proud mother of one 11 1/2 year old named Noah.

Pets: 1 Bearded Dragon named Harley, 1 Guinea Pig named Snowflake, 2 cats: Joujou Grisgris and Fizzgig, r.i.p. goldie and sage (the snakes)

Hobbies: Reading, mostly dark novels and fantasy-ish stuff, along with business and performing books. Fantasy Art. Movies, love movies. Music..almost any kind really. Learning, don't really care about what. I have an amazing aptitude at retaining incredibly useless knowledge....just ask Kombiguy, Gardening, especially herbs and veggies. Cooking....oh how I love to cook.....with the herbs I grow. Artsy stuff.

All of my favorites are based on moods, such as food, color, drinks, etc. I always love Popcorn as a snack though. It's rather a greasy-salty addiction to tell you the truth.

Things I love: My friends...more than they could ever possibly know, the elements, life on the whole, a hot cup of tea cuddled under a blanket on a cold night with all the lights off and a good movie on and a roaring fire going. To lay in the shade in cool sand on a hot day with water at my feet and look for shapes in the clouds. Watching my son be melodramatic, especially when reading outloud. He cracks me up. Making up constellations in a full starry sky.

Personal outlook: All of live should be lived with passion and conviction, preferrably in what we love rather than what we don't love. Faith should be strongest within ourselves than in a preacher in a pulpit. Every day is the chance to begin again, to mend broken things and to be who we want....it is NEVER too late.

Pet Peeves: Stupid commercials. Bad drivers (other than me of course! smile ). The words "I can't". (I have more but I am in such a good mood they slip my mind...ooops!)

Anyway....ummmm....I have no idea what else to say here so I will leave it up to questions, comments, harrassments...whatever.

hug

Pele

Well, since the conversation's been about muscles and working out, this is what kim and I are trying for too. Unsuccesfully at the moment, as we seem too tired to do anything, but we both really want to get our old bodies back. It seems that we keep putting on winter insulation and not managing to take it off in the summer.
We've set a time goal for next summer.

So, pounce we're going to join you on the gym thing. I'm also thinking of starting to play field hockey again.
Ya lady, I'll give you the victory in the jelly wrestling, but I'll take you out in the desert! wink

Oh...I like the HoP fit thing being in my intro! That makes me happy! biggrin

I *hate* working in the gym, so I get to be creative and I def need motivational buddies.
I got the food part down, and I've lost a few with that alone, so now to put in movement. Skippy! wink

Ummm...PK...I've seen that kiting stuff and I def think it counts, as long as you don't let go. wink However, what are you trying to do, and you can't even say lose weight! tongue

Well Mike, women are always saying how the good ones are always taken or gay so....grass is greener, blah, blah, blah

Oh Pele, I meant to tell you, I got to go on a paranormal investigation a couple of months ago down in Austin.

It was... well, pretty boring to tell you the truth, but still pretty cool.

Well i had a few near misses at work not so long back.. got my finger trapped under some work that i was working on... i almost passed out.. made me feel very sick and dizzy and left me with a half torn off finger nail.

Only thing i have suffered since is a little anxiety... but i know why that was.

You are entitled to feel weak and dizzy when having a half of a fingernail ripped off. I assure you your blood pressure was probably abnormally high during that brief period. eek

redface

Could the fear be because yer a guy? wink

lol...yes Mand, they def can be. Part of what makes it fun are the personalities of the people taking part too. But yeah, the waiting game, never a favorite of my impatient self! wink At least you have the experience. hug

Hey Mike. I've had three fingernails ripped off, at 3 different times. I've never gotten faint or dizzy from it, well, not until I had to stick it in the bowl of rubbing alcohol. Then the burning nearly made me but it was counteracted with my fascination by the fact that it makes this bloody foam that is kind of cool really.
And yes I know, everyone copes differently, blah, blah, blah. I was saying it cause I thought it was something that might amuse you. wink

Btw, if you have a low thresh hold for pain...rubbing alcohol is not a good idea for a gushy wound. Just sayin'. wink

confused maybe.. stuffs dont normally bother me... i love getting ink, i love the tattoo pain, its soothing, i love sticking needs through my body, i like that too... any thing self inflicted i enjoy, you know that any way... i never had issues piercing my reverse PA some years ago... well you know i got the urge to do my pearls but for many reasons... not just self inflicting pain on myself but that is part cause.

ubblove kisses.

i wish i was 3000 miles away from where i am right now snuggled up with pele...

but technically geographically mike... i'm now in my bed trying to get an early night for a funeral in the morning... i hate trying to sleep like 6 hours before i normally do... and i know that tomorrow will suck really bad for me... i lost 2 great aunts in the same week, due to family drama we wern't told about the other funeral and we missed it.. (i technically was in France last week on the day of the funeral so couldn't have gone.. just was never told what day it was).

So i'm dying in bed, all achy tired and sore, not even remotely sleepy, pele's gone to make salt potatoes and i'm now trying to study... whilst waiting for pele to come back and keep me company.. she's good like that!.

And I love her for it... just wish i was there and not here.

frown

ubblove hug to you mike.
