Gidg, if you can find an ice wine, give it a try, I am sure you would like it, especially if you like the sweet wines. You would probably like the Late Harvest that I get up here. They do not allow the grapes to freeze on the vine like ice wine, but they pick them after the first hard frost.

I've never seen a ice wine around here. But then I've never been in a place that would carry it either.

I am sure if you looked for it you would find it. I happened to find an excellent one while in Germany and bought 5 bottles of it to have while we were there. It was the best I have ever had and it was only like $8.00(US). I brought back 1 bottle with me and would have brought back more except I had to have room for the chocolate I bought. I also had gotten a bottle of honey wine from my Exchange Daughter for my birthday and I just had to bring that back and you could only bring back 2 bottles duty free.
I do not drink it much here because I can find it easy enough, but it runs about $45 - $50 a bottle what I can find and that is to expensive for my tastes (well not for my taste but for my wallet)

Hey, jt, since you are such a wordly traveler, have you ever heard of a liqueor called Strega! (Italian for 'witch' btw)
It's made with angelica and lots of other herbs...is said to be 'as golden as the sunshine and as sweet as sin'....

I have done a search on Google as Pat mentioned, without much success, although I suppose somewhere in these 18,400 hits is the answer you seek. We have a place about 30 miles from here that carries all sorts of Wines and Liquers from around the world. I will check with them and see if they carry it and how much it is for you. Maybe even do that as soon as tomorrow since I have to go down that way to see a doctor

We've got some pretty darn good places to find such stuff in Raleigh but so far I've had no success. I just get blank looks.

I went the learned the West Coast Swing ... It's an absolute BLAST!!! Sexy as all get out when you do it right. I don't do it right ... yet!

You have to do the West Coast Swing because you are on the West Coast. Would it be the East Coast Swing if you lived on the East Coast? How about the Southern Coast Swing for bek? Would Pat be doing the Down Under Swing or maybe the Gold Coast Swing???

Yeah Pip! Welcome to the loony bin.
JT, now would those digs be about the East Coast, West Coast, and Gold Coast Swings? I think that we can call the shim sham a Souther Coast Swing, since it's suppose to have originated on the Carolinas. Personally the "Sitting on the front porch Swing" is to my liking.
Tomorrow? Back to Ballroom, with a little East and West Coast Swing thrown in!
